Job Description

We are seeking a highly strategic Senior Manager of Product Marketing to act as the subject matter expert (SME), narrative owner, and content creator a critical set of payment acceptance products. Experience in the payments industry is highly favorable, as we need an experienced PMM who can hit the ground running.

In this role, you will directly support our organizational objective to meet or exceed financial performance by increasing pipeline and interest, supporting sellers to drive acquisition, and increasing demand with compelling solution content.

You will own the product narrative across the entire customer journey. This means you are not just focused on net-new acquisition. You are a champion for lifecycle management. You will keep a continuous pulse on what our existing customers need and consistently generate ideas to keep them informed, engaged, and excited about our products and solutions.

You will work within a highly collaborative, matrixed team, partnering closely with product management, regional leads, and campaign and demand teams to deliver the right message, to the right audience, through the right channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Product SME & Narrative Strategy

  • Act as the primary product SME for assigned products, deeply understanding the pain points of both technical buyers (developers) and business buyers (merchants).

  • Develop compelling product and solution narratives that differentiate Visa Acceptance Solutions in the market.

  • Lead product launch planning and coordination for your portfolio, ensuring seamless go-to-market execution.

  • Provide commercialization consultation and secure necessary approvals for new features and product updates.

  • Maintain a sharp understanding of the market landscape by gathering and synthesizing competitive intelligence.

  • Be the primary point of contact for product management leadership on assigned products and be an active contributor to the product commercialization and development plans.

Lifecycle Management & Customer Engagement

  • Maintain a continuous pulse on the needs of our existing install base. Identify strategic opportunities to drive cross-sell, upsell, and new feature adoption.

  • Ideate and champion ongoing customer engagement initiatives to keep current users informed and excited about their Visa Acceptance products.

  • Partner with the content production lead to feed strategic messaging and customer-focused updates into owned retention channels, such as the product update documents, newsletters and social media.

Sales Enablement & Core Asset Creation

  • Build, maintain, and own the core sales enablement materials for your products, specifically focusing on pitch decks and one-pagers.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with product management and sales, providing direct sales play support and solution expertise to help sellers drive acquisition.

Cross-Functional GTM Orchestration

  • Collaborate with Regional Leads to understand local market nuances and identify specific regional opportunities for your products.

  • Provide strategic input and define needs for the Campaign Team so they can effectively execute promotional content across social media, ads, landing pages, and email.

  • Partner with the Content Production lead, providing the core messaging required for them to build high-fidelity promotional assets like guides, webinars, product webpages, demos, blogs, and videos.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within payments, fintech, or developer-focused SaaS platforms.
  • A strong "lifecycle mindset"—demonstrated ability to market to existing customers (retention/upsell) just as effectively as net-new prospects.
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing capability, with a track record of building impactful messaging frameworks, pitch decks, and one-pagers.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating seamlessly with product, sales, regional leads, and campaign execution teams.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 138,300.00 to 221,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
