Working closely with Product, Technology, the broader data community, and Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Team is advancing Visa’s data agenda with momentum and purpose. The Global Data Team is seeking enthusiastic leaders who are passionate about shaping the future of data around the world.
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Business Planning & Operations, plays a critical role in enabling operational excellence across the Global Data Team. This role supports the execution of key business priorities, ensuring strong operational performance across Product and Technology scrum teams through rigorous business analysis, reporting, and governance. The role requires a high level of professionalism, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, strategic and collaborative skills combined with meaningful operational experience and the ability to navigate a complex, matrixed organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across Product and Platform leads, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery
- Engage with key stakeholders across various levels of the organization to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring alignment and support for critical data priorities
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Business Planning and Operations, providing expert guidance on products, platforms, and data initiatives
- Lead internal tracking, monitoring, and reporting of key operational metrics for productivity and efficiency across Product and Technology teams
- Synthesize key information and develop internal presentations for the Global Data Leadership team related to business operations performance
- Demonstrate knowledge of product capabilities and technologies in a payments ecosystem and the ability to apply them in a wide range of situations from ideation to solution
- Develop internal communications to effectively convey operational goals, progress, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the Global Data Team practices and operations, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Lead and manage special projects ensuring timely and successful completion
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Visa or payment industry experience with understanding of consumer card payment solutions
Product operations or business analytics experience with understanding of agile methodology
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong business acumen with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strategic mindset, ability to see the big picture while managing the operational execution and ability to communicate complex concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way
Analytical thinking, demonstrated intellectual rigor and ability to synthesize relevant data, produce sound analysis, and draw meaningful insights
Operational
Proven ability to partner, communicate, and manage/ navigate across functions and teams, facilitating conversations to drive decision-making

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 153,200.00 to 246,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
