Job Description
We are seeking new grad Systems Engineers to join Visa’s growing team. As the Systems Engineer, you will spearhead the design, development, documentation and implementation on a variety of projects within our Technology organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to introduce new services that enhance existing products or enable new products. You will drive technical solutions that have a direct impact on the reliability of Visa Core Systems. The solutions you design will be large scale, always available, secure, fast, accessible, and globally ready with an impact measured in future years.

Specific assignments will depend on upon your skills sets, interest, and team needs. By applying to this position, your application is automatically considered across multiple locations. Job duties and projects could include:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of server, storage, and GPU platforms to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Leverage Generative AI tools to automate system administration tasks, streamline workflows, and reduce manual intervention
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and refine automation scripts for routine operational processes using AI-based technologies
- Participate in proof-of-concept projects utilizing Generative AI to accelerate innovation in infrastructure management
- Monitor system health using AI-driven analytics and proactively address potential issues before they impact service availability
- Work cross-functionally with IT, data engineering, and AI teams to support new initiatives and troubleshoot platform-related challenges
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development to build expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies, and artificial intelligence
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Less than 6 months of relevant work experience with either Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, graduating May 2025 - August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, Python, Perl, shell scripting, Jupyter Notebook, etc.
- Experience with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of server and storage hardware (e.g., Dell, HPE, Supermicro) and GPU platforms (e.g., NVIDIA)
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools and concepts, and an interest in applying them to infrastructure management
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Familiarity with data visualizing tools like Excel, MS Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Showcase hands-on data handling to leverage new technologies to help drive critical business decisions
- Strong written and verbal communications skills

Additional Information
U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary for a new hire into this position is $90,000 USD which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
