Job Description
As a Cybersecurity Operations Intern, you’ll join our dynamic team to help protect and defend Visa’s global infrastructure. This summer program offers hands-on experience monitoring, analyzing, and supporting real-time cybersecurity operations across both on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll collaborate with experienced analysts and engineers to strengthen Visa’s security posture and respond to live security events—all while learning the foundations of enterprise-scale cybersecurity.
What you’ll do
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing network and cloud-based security systems and tools.
- Support troubleshooting efforts related to configurations on platforms such as firewalls, proxies, DDoS protection systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Learn to follow and improve operational playbooks and runbooks for responding to security incidents.
- Track and document incident response actions while maintaining high-quality and accurate records.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to ensure incident handling aligns with internal service level targets.
- Gain exposure to cybersecurity operations workflows, standards, and best practices.
- Pursue new technical knowledge through training sessions, workshops, and mentorship from senior analysts.

Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree & graduating December 2026 or later.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited, to Java, C++, C# or python.
- Preferred studies in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Familiar with basic networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Eager to learn about large-scale enterprise security environments and contribute to real-world problem solving.
