This is a Senior Account Manager role in a team of experienced professionals developing, delivering and winning high impact business opportunities for Visa.
You will be part of the Value-Added Services (VAS) Acceptance business team, a specialist sellers’ team that helps drive the expansion of overall Visa business via Value-Added Services (VAS) Acceptance solutions for key partners (ie. merchants, acquirers and service providers) driving payment acceptance in-market. The Team is responsible for adding merchants, acquirers and service providers, as well as other companies accepting payments, to our growing portfolio. The team is also responsible for understanding and communicating local market needs to define market specific strategies and help develop payment acceptance capabilities and provide merchant solutions to meet the evolving payments ecosystem. The team works closely with other Visa Teams to offer visa products for checkout, processing, analytics, fraud, security, and other digital solutions. You will also be a member of the Visa Thailand Team.
You will be responsible for managing and winning new business in the Thailand market by leveraging on a Visa Acceptance set of solutions around payments, risk and dispute management, including Cybersource and other Network acceptance solutions, Verifi, Featurespace solutions. Key objectives for the success of this role are revenue growth and new sales booking via account management.
Key accountabilities and objectives of the role
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and identify opportunities to protect, grow and upsell
- Responsible for managing a pipeline of opportunities from existing accounts or new prospects in some cases. This will include driving end-to-end process when pricing and incentives are involved, including required approvals
- Lead revenue generation while meeting strategic business objectives
- Accountable in achieving and reporting quarterly business goals and results
- Engage proactively with Clients and Visa Leadership in regular planning discussions
- Acquire and maintain technical and functional knowledge of existing and new products by working closely with the Product / Solutions teams
- Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, consulting & analytics, risk, innovation, partnerships) to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
- When needed, aid in the completion and presentation of RFPs and RFIs responses
- Where employee is a subject matter expert, provide knowledge sharing, coaching and training across functional teams and/or regions

In this role you will engage and work extensively in partnership with functional teams to execute on our growth strategies and directly contribute to the ongoing expansion and success of the Visa Thailand business.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What you will need to be considered and successful in this role
We are looking for an individual with strong Account Management and Sales experience along with deep acquiring, payment and consulting expertise to provide analytical and strategic thinking to shape the services we deliver to clients, lead consulting engagements and develop actionable and scalable insights and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in B2B technology consultative sales with strong ecommerce / digital payments experience in relevant markets
- Strong account management track record with demonstrated success closing high volume business
- Executive presence including excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
- Self-motivated & results oriented individual
- Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives
- Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
- Holds self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective results
