Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to expand G2B commercial payments opportunities with public-sector entities and state‑controlled financial institutions in Brazil, with emphasis on priority regions. The ideal candidate has a strong track record selling technology and commercial payments into government, trusted relationships with decision‑makers, and fluency in public procurement processes. Prior experience with B2B/G2B commercial payments is required. Beyond public procurement and development initiatives, this role will consultatively position complementary technology offerings (e.g., advanced analytics and digital protection), working in collaboration with ecosystem partners and closely with Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS). Success requires understanding institutional and cultural nuances in Brazil’s public sector and aligning solutions to regional and national modernization priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a commercial payments strategy for government bodies, public financial institutions, and regional development initiatives.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders across strategic regions.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities across a portfolio of commercial payment and adjacent technology solutions, including high‑value offerings.
  • Co‑sell with partners (financial institutions, fintechs, and technology providers) to strengthen proposals for public‑sector clients. Navigate public‑sector procurement and tendering processes. Collaborate closely with internal teams—especially VCS—along with Solutions, Consulting, Government Engagement (GE), Marketing, Legal, Product, and Finance to align go‑to‑market and ensure delivery. Lead presentations, negotiations, and proposals for complex, long‑cycle opportunities. Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Why This Role Matters:

Brazil’s public sector has unique regional and institutional dynamics. Navigating this environment, building trust, and aligning commercial payments solutions with development and digital transformation agendas are critical to success in this position.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Requirements:
8+ years of proven experience selling technology and commercial payment solutions to the public sector in Brazil.
Prior experience with B2B/G2B commercial payments, including working with issuers (banks/fintechs) in pre‑tender business development.
Solid understanding of public procurement law, bidding modalities, and government decision‑making structures.
Established network with public‑sector decision‑makers. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Based in Brasília – DF willingness to travel up to 40%.
Fluent in Portuguese and English (Spanish desirable).

Nice to Have:
Experience working with public development and financial institutions. Sales or technology certifications (e.g., security, analytics, data). Experience in multicultural, matrixed corporate environments.
