Job Description
The Treasury team at Visa has operations located around the globe that support critical functions for the business including the daily settlement of all Visa transactions globally. The Treasury department is also responsible for the management of corporate cash and investment portfolios, foreign exchange exposure and rate setting, capital and debt strategy, liquidity management, and insurance programs worldwide.
The Treasury Analyst within Visa Global Treasury Settlement will be responsible for supporting a wide range of tasks, primarily focused on Treasury activities for all settlement services in the North America (NA) region. Daily support of client settlement onboarding activities, including implementation of new services in the NA region, serving as the point of contact with internal and external stakeholders. The Analyst reports to the Director, Global Treasury Settlement for NA & LAC Treasury.
Essential functions:
Day to Day Tasks (as required):
- Manage complex daily regional settlement client onboarding activities for International and Domestic settlement services in the NA region. Provide settlement onboarding support related to LAC as needed, per agreement with area Director.
- Review, validate, and process new and modified funds transfer arrangements within agreed service levels, ensuring accuracy, with the ability to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and prioritize their own work.
- Ensure that funds transfer details are set up in line with Visa core rules and policies, in keeping with audit and key controls and which ultimately support the timely implementation of client’s products and services.
- Proactively liaise with Settlement Banks and external parties to support the safe execution of funds transfers.
- Obtain necessary information from clients in partnership with Client Services related to DDA confirmations, RMA, and bilateral agreements. Guide Client Services and our clients on how best to complete their standard settlement instructions.
- Coordinate timely settlements go-live for modifications and new client set ups with Global Treasury Settlement Operations and Client Services teams.
- Provide consulting services related to daily client onboarding activities to clients and internal Visa stakeholders such as Client Services, Implementations and Core & Config Management.
- Collaborate with Global Treasury Settlement Reconciliations team on investigating and resolve settlement issues resulting from setup client challenges in NA region (account closures, manual payments, prefunding, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain tracking logs of issues and/or other daily related work, identifying and assigning action items.
- Investigate and report findings on Treasury incidents related to onboarding for International and Domestic settlement services in the NA region.
- Demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency in responding to settlement onboarding questions or incidents, including urgent need to respond to all outstanding aspects (i.e., account closure, sanctions, mandates, etc.).
Project Management and Technical Work:
- Assist with Treasury Settlement metrics and initiatives as required, such as the management of projects related to improving Treasury Settlement Services and processes in the NA region.
- Focus on continuous improvement by participating in and supporting strategic change management projects for the Treasury Settlement area.
- Evaluate and make recommendations for best practices and improvements to any aspect of the operational processes supporting Treasury.
- Participate in efforts to document processes, policies, operating procedures, system guides, forms and other documentation as needed.
- Review and analyze data as it relates to mandates and Treasury Settlement processes.
The candidate will be part of a small team with wide-ranging responsibilities that will continue to evolve. As such, the candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes in responsibilities and to assist with tasks. Over time, the team will continue to broaden its responsibilities, and the candidate will be expected to develop and adapt to these as required.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Banking or payment services experience with payments, corporate treasury, or banking wire room operations.
• Ability to conduct business in English (spoken and written) required.
• Excellent written and analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio). Ability to understand and document processes and system flows.
• Project management experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance or Operations role, preferably in the Banking or Payments industry.
• Knowledge of SWIFT and in-country payment systems with exposure to foreign exchange products and services is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and understanding of the various banking formats (EDI/ISO20022/SWIFT MT Fin/FedWire) is a plus.
• Good comprehension of key control environment requirements and experience with various audits (e.g. internal, external, SOX, SSAE16).
• Ability to conduct business in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred (for back-up support of LAC onboarding)
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 104,900.00 to 148,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
