Job Description

Role Overview

Visa is seeking a results-driven, tech-curious Account Executive passionate about value-based solution selling. As Sr. Manager Sales, you will lead the delivery of Visa’s portfolio of solutions, focusing on creating sustainable value for clients and Visa through collaborative innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute account strategy and annual planning, building strong client relationships and aligning resources to deliver account plans that create sustainable value for both clients and Visa.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Specialist Sellers, Sales Engineers, Client Success Managers, etc.) to co-develop innovative solutions that address client needs and drive measurable impact.

  • Drive client revenue growth by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, focusing on how Visa’s solutions can resolve specific client challenges and support their business objectives.

  • Manage new business development and expansion of existing accounts by deeply understanding client pain points and aspirations, proposing creative solutions that generate mutual benefit.

  • Oversee pipeline management, identifying new sales opportunities, leading negotiations, and closing deals with a focus on long-term partnerships and shared success.

  • Lead client incentive programs and business renewals, ensuring proposals are aligned with both client goals and Visa’s strategic direction.

  • Develop and execute territory plans to increase sales and market share, prioritizing strategies that deliver differentiated value to clients.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the payments landscape and technology solutions, proactively recommending strategies that help clients and Visa grow together.

  • Foster productive, trust-based relationships at all levels, both with clients and within the Visa organization, championing a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  • Participate actively in sales meetings and training activities, sharing insights and best practices to elevate team performance and client outcomes.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date account information by maintaining rigorous CRM data hygiene and adherence to data management best practices.

  • Safeguard data integrity and compliance with Visa Policies.

  • Proactively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools to optimize sales processes, identify new business opportunities, and personalize solutions for clients. Champion the adoption of AI within the team, driving strategic use of these technologies to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and positive impact for both clients and Visa.

  • Demonstrate understanding of financial indicators to measure business performance and summarize business and financial data for planning and decision making.

  • Effectively negotiate agreements and contracts, ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes.

  • Maintain in-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations specific to the industry, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making.

  • Confidently create and deliver presentations to all audiences, including executive levels.

  • Nurture cross-functional relationships and coordinate internal and external resources to maximize value creation.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•Minimum of 8 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).

Preferred Qualifications
•10–12 years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree, or
•6 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
•Experience managing loyalty programs, desired airline loyalty programs
•2 to 4 years of payments and sales business experience.
•Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
•Proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets and deliver high customer satisfaction.
•Willingness to learn and apply effective sales strategies for new payment products and services.
•Ability to develop, lead, and close complex, competitive sales efforts.
•Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
•Demonstrated ability to implement strategic initiatives efficiently and professionally, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Proven negotiation skills for agreements and contracts, ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes.
•In-depth understanding of relevant laws and regulations specific to the industry, ensuring compliance and informed decision-making.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Tech-curious, with basic knowledge and interest in AI.
