Team Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintech's, payment enablers and governments.
Within VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.
VIS South Cone is seeking a hands-on technical leader to drive end-to-end implementations of Visa digital solutions across issuers, fintech's, acquirers, and large retailers. You will lead complex programs spanning risk, fraud, and authorization domains, as well as core technology initiatives—e.g., issuer processing implementations on Pismo, fraud decisioning with FeatureSpace, wallet integrations, and SDK deployments, among others —while shaping client roadmaps and ensuring secure, scalable outcomes. A key part of the role is orchestrating integrations with Visa teams, third-party vendors and system integrators to deliver cohesive, enterprise-grade solutions. In addition, you will lead cross-functional performance squads focused on the cardholder lifecycle for credit, debit, and prepaid portfolios—driving acquisition, activation, early spend, habitual usage, digital engagement, retention, and reactivation—through data-driven experimentation, CRM journeys, merchant offers, and incentive design in partnership with clients.
Location and travel
Based in Chile, South Cone region, travel to client sites as needed.
Impact you’ll have
Accelerate time-to-market for clients’ digital propositions while improving fraud loss rates, authorization approval rates, and platform resilience.
Create reusable delivery playbooks and technical assets that scale across issuers, fintech's, acquirers, and retailers in the region.
Specific Responsibilities include
- Understand client needs and present tailored solutions

- Lead expert team effectively (data scientists, data engineers, tech or risk technical experts)
- Communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Leverage understanding to shape solutions that differentiate Visa
- Communicate technical and non-technical aspects of solutions

- Develop profitable pricing strategies
- Demonstrate strong project and program management skills
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
-Experience working in client-facing environments, including pre-sales or consulting.
-API and integration tooling Strategy and Implementation
-Demonstrated ability to sell solutions
-Strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to measure the financial impact to a client
-Conversant in fraud risk management systems and technology
-Entrepreneurial mindset energized by the possibility of building a new business
-Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise systems.
-Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
-7+ years in technical program/project management, solution architecture, or implementation consulting within payments, banks or fintech.
-Comfort operating in ML/AI environments and understanding of how models and integrations behave.
-Proven leadership delivering programs for issuers, fintechs, acquirers, and/or retailers, with tangible outcomes in risk, fraud, and authorization performance.
-Demonstrated experience leading integrations with third-party vendors and system integrators to deliver end-to-end tech solutions.
-Strong grasp of card payments, authorization flows, fraud strategies, and real-time decisioning.
-Ability to define architectures, integration patterns (APIs, MCPs, webhooks, eventing), data models, and security controls at enterprise scale.
-Executive presence and client-facing skills, able to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
-Fluent in Spanish and English, excellent written and verbal communication is mandatory.
-Hands-on experience integrating payment platforms and services such as Pismo, FeatureSpace, wallets/tokenization, and SDKs (mobile/web) is a nice to have.
-Practical knowledge of API design and testing, including proficiency with Postman is a nice to have.
