Job Description

 

The Business Value Consultant is a key member of the Value Engineering Team supporting the global Value Added Services sales organization.  You will be responsible for supporting the team’s overall objectives aligned to deal support, policy, governance as well as helping sales teams derive data-driven insights that will be used to structure deals as well as align the value of Visa solutions with mutually beneficial business outcomes.  This will be a critical support function that will enable sales teams to diversify streams of revenue, increase velocity, and deepen client relationships.  This is a great opportunity to support various aspects of the business, requiring both highly analytical skills leveraging multiple data sources as well as supporting various ad hoc projects aligned to the team’s goals.  The role will report to the Director of Value Engineering.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and deliver data-driven business cases that articulate the financial and strategic impact of Visa Solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Support sales teams in value-based selling through coaching, workshops, and tailored content that enables the creation of compelling value narratives.
  • Lead the development of new value stories for emerging products and services, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and sales enablement goals.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform deal-level strategies, pricing assessments, and business value hypotheses.
  • Model financial implications of Value Added Services (VAS) offerings and integrate insights into internal tools such as Value Calculators and ROI/TCO templates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Global Sales, Commercial Solutions, Finance, Sales Operations, and Deal Management to optimize deal structuring and governance.
  • Maintain a feedback loop with regional sales leaders to ensure visibility into supported opportunities and continuously improve engagement strategies.
  • Drive operational efficiency by contributing to commercial playbooks, policy standardization, and initiatives that enhance deal velocity and revenue diversification.
  • Partner with adjacent teams to refine sales and deal management processes, ensuring seamless integration across the value engineering ecosystem.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience working in a global matrixed organization with the ability to navigate complex structures
Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness 
Proven ability to support corporate data research and analytics
Financial acumen—ability to utilize sophisticated financial analysis to evaluate business opportunities and make strategic recommendations
Strong presentation and communication skills
Experience supporting a B2B selling environment—preferably technology related
Quantitative mindset and analytic capabilities, with a passion for problem solving and pragmatic application
Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics experience seen as a plus
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Proficient with Tableau & other business intelligence tools
Knowledge and experience with Visa products seen as a plus
