Job Description
As a key member of the Digital Products organization within Consumer Payments this role will drive key strategic initiatives and product strategies for the team. The role will report directly to the VP of Digital Products. The candidate will work very closely with product, analytics, and technology partners to drive the future of eCommerce and digital. In addition, this person will be a major contributor to the eComm 2030 Strategic Priority for Visa.
The ideal candidate will work with minimal guidance in a fast paced, ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high level guidance into detailed deliverables. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in hands-on environments, capable of diving into the work, taking ownership, and delivering results without the need for constant supervision or managerial oversight. He/she will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and executive presence. The employee is responsible for, but not limited to:
- eComm 2030 Strategy: This person will be an owner of the eComm 2030 strategy. They will work closely with product managers to validate, value, and prioritize initiatives within eComm 2030. This requires deep analytical skills and knowledgeof the ecosystem and industry. Ideally this person has a vision for the future of eCommerce and is adept at driving product strategies from business outcomes. This person will be responsible for building client facing future of eCommerce materials as well (presentations, whitepapers, etc.)
- Strategic Digital Roamdap: This person will be responsible for articulating a strategic roadmap to various audiences at different elevations. To do this, this person will need to very conversant and familiar with our products (checkout services, tokenization, lifecycle management, etc.).
- Analytics: This person will be responsible for the business analytics of the team. One of these examples is developing a framework and method for measuring eCommerce market at a regular cadence and identifying how to embed these analytics in our work. In addition, this person will be responsible for working with product managers to drive ROI-based value in the planning process.
- Strategic Initiatives: This person will be responsible for proactively identifying gaps and opportunities on the team and driving workstreams themselves. This may involve process improvements, strategy & analytics projects, and more.
- Ad Hoc: This role is new and the person that fills it has the ability to form the role into what they learn will add the most value to the team, so expect ad hoc or a variety of projects. The person who fills this role must be good with context switching, managing multiple projects at the same time.
Broadly the person in the role will:
- Identify and lead cross-functional initiatives and accelerate progress on key priorities
- Collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional and cross-regional partners
- Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues.Build out unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Visa’s many expert functional resources and supporting collaborative solution development.
- Develop processes for improving and sharing best practices
- Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis utilizing multiple data sources ensuring financial soundness / strategic alignment of recommendations.
- Develop clear and concise executive level communications. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise and impactful way.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
Requires 10+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, product management
Experience in a product organization
Experience in payments, ideally within eCommerce/tokenization/digital
Incredibly proactive and self starter – must drive your own roadmap
Superior analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated quantitative rigor
Demonstrated cross-functional experience in large matrix organizations
Clear, concise, and influential communication skills with senior leaders
Impeccable written communication in both prose and visual presentations
Able to tackle shifting priorities at high speeds
Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, able to ruthlessly prioritize and identify the most important item to focus on
High aptitude to learn quickly, assimilate to new teams and projects, and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
Organized and comfortable creating and executing workplans
Strong EQ and presence, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with people from various teams and various backgrounds
Must be self-motivated, have a bias-to-action, and be comfortable with ambiguity

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
