What a Head of Business Planning & Operations does at Visa:
- Provide guidance and support the design, planning and development of initiatives that align the overall People strategy in support of business priorities
- Facilitate monthly business reviews, ensuring OKR’s and initiatives across the function are tracking to plan. This includes regular updates to the AP Regional and Global People scorecards
- Project/Process Management: Design and execute on a standard cadence of operations while also independently developing and managing project or program plans to support key stakeholder asks.
- Business Insights: Lead communication of impactful analyses on major employee trends, including attrition, hiring, promotions and diversity data along with other indicators such as team productivity and performance, and market opportunity data and trends.
- Optimize business decisions with judicious use of data, metrics, and analytics.
- Develop and drive workforce planning and headcount management across the AP region.
- Work with Finance Business Partners and BPOs in other functions on headcount and expense management.
- Standardize and operationalize People procedures to create a best-in-class function, e.g., repository of templates, schedules, key operating procedures etc.
- Oversee and execute year-long people team engagement cadences including e-bulletins, learning sessions, and townhalls.
- Acts as the AP People representative on transformation related processes and initiatives.
- Achieve operational excellence and maintain optimal state of the house within the AP People Team.

By working closely with the Visa People Leadership Team in AP and executive leadership, the BPO helps develop and implement communication and cultural change strategies that support business objectives and drive growth. Additionally, this role facilitates collaboration between various internal People team teams, as well as other internal functions across the business.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a HR, Business Operations, or strategy management role in a corporate environment. Payments experience a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive data and provide critical insights.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with functional and regional leads.
- Strong project management skills to lead a concept from inception to execution.
- Solutions oriented, energetic and resourceful.
- Confident in managing competing priorities with multiple simultaneous initiatives.
- Ability to scale in delivery by being effective with strategic issues, as well as tactical in operational details.
- Proven influencing and partnership skills to ensure alignment, support transparent feedback with the ability to build and develop strong relationships.
