Job Description

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more.  The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion USD of payment volume globally.

This role is in the North America Visa Direct Product and Policy Governance and Operations team that is responsible for roadmap management, deployment of new products in the market, and other strategic initiatives. We are looking for a data driven product analyst who will be responsible for gathering and analyzing customer feedback, identifying product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and launch of products that meet client needs.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities include:

 

Data Analysis

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources to extract actionable insights, interpret trends and patterns.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements based on data analysis.

 

Product Performance Evaluation

  • Conduct regular evaluations to assess product performance against goals.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend strategies for optimization.

 

Market and User Research

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify market opportunities.
  • Provide insights on target market segments and potential customer segments.
  • Conduct user surveys, research and interviews, to gather feedback on product usability.
  • Recommend enhancements and features to improve product capabilities, expand on existing offering, and user experience.

 

Requirement Gathering

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, business case and impacts.

 

Reporting and Presentation

  • Present data analysis and product performance evaluations to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with periodic updates to product documentation including maintenance of the product and policy roadmap, client facing communications, and internal memos.
  • Assist in the creation of product roadmap presentations for internal stakeholder consumption and external client facing discussions. 
  • Establish and publish key product metrics and performance indicators.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced
Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2
years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD)
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics,
Information Systems, or related field.
• Proficiency in using analytical tools and techniques to gather, analyze, and
interpret data.
• Knowledge of market research methodologies, including data collection,
analysis, and competitor analysis.
• Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana to
manage product backlogs, roadmaps, and user stories.
• Proficiency in SQL to extract and analyze data from databases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with
stakeholders, present findings, and document requirements.
• Ability to identify problems, gather relevant information, and propose practical
solutions to improve product performance and user experience.
• Capacity to think analytically, assess situations, and make data-driven
decisions.
• Skilled in managing relationships with stakeholders, understanding their
needs, and balancing competing priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including front line
teams, technical teams and product managers.
• Flexibility to navigate in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, adjusting
priorities as needed.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in data analysis,
documentation, and requirement gathering.
• Self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to quickly establish clear, well
thought out action plans.
• Clear and concise written and spoken communications and the ability to
demonstrate professional judgment.
• Drive deliverables to completion under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large
amounts of data into key strategic insights.
• Ability to form hypotheses on client issue root causes and validate thinking
quickly using data.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a cross functional team. 
• Well versed in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint,
Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of product development life cycle through experience or formal
education.
• Familiarity with Payments.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,600.00 to 166,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
