Job Description
This is a night shift position from 6:30pm to 7:00am with the core responsibilities including the planning, installation, relocation and de-installation of Network, Open Systems hardware, Storage Arrays and cabling infrastructure within the Visa Data Centers.
Essential Functions
Work with the hardware engineering and project management teams to gather requirements, plan and perform hardware installs, reconfigurations and de-installations of Mainframe hardware, Open Systems hardware, Storage Arrays and other peripherals in critical 7/24 Data Center environments.
Manage vendors providing hardware support of Mainframe, Open Systems and SAN storage hardware.
Provide 7/24-hour support for problem diagnosis of Mainframe, Open Systems and SAN Storage Hardware and Cabling Infrastructure.
Manage vendors providing Cabling installation services.
Utilize problem and change management ticketing systems to ensure all changes and problems are accurately tracked and resolved.
Utilize configuration documentation to diagnose and resolve problems.
Participate in planning meetings to communicate hardware and cabling infrastructure requirements and ensure implementations in the Data Center meet project requirements and timeline objectives.
Provide updates of the physical layout of equipment and cabling infrastructure utilizing Data Center Information management tools (DCIM).
Perform moves, adds and changes of hardware and cabling infrastructure in the Data Center environments.
This is an on-site position. An on-site position must be consistently performed at an assigned Visa office location and require daily commute to the office location.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• 5+ years of experience working Open systems hardware, SAN Storage Arrays and associated cabling infrastructure systems, network and Mainframe.
• Solid understanding of Open systems and SAN storage hardware topologies and architecture.
• Experience working in large scale, critical 24/7 Data Center Environments.
• Experience with problem determination of cabling infrastructure and hardware repair across multiple hardware platforms.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 87,200.00 to 123,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
