The Opportunity:
We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Staff Software Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. We are seeking a skilled DevOps Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and scripting languages. This role involves working closely with our development and operations teams to streamline our software development and deployment processes.
The Work itself:
- Support critical applications and ensure their stability by performing proactive maintenance activities, engaging in automation activities, and conducting root cause analysis and remediation.
- Write and maintain scripts to monitor system activity, including application smoke test activities during production implementations.
- Develop and maintain automation tools to handle all engineering and application support tasks.
- Engage in production issue troubleshooting bridge calls, provide immediate service restoration, follow up on root cause analysis, and ensure the permanent fix is implemented to avoid similar problems in the future.
- Coordinate and execute application releases and production deployments
- Develop and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate configuration management and deployment processes with Ansible.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates relevant technical working knowledge to understand requirements.
- Identifies and contributes to the development and solution strategies for team members to improve the design and functionality of interface features across one or more project features under minimal guidance.
- Applies standard processes using programming languages (e.g. HTML, C++, Java) to write code that fulfills website modification requests and technical requirements.
- Collaborates with others to support the piloting of new technology capabilities and features that enhance the user website experience across e-commerce products.
- Analyzes bugs for simple issues and applies debugging tools to verify assumptions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum five (5) years experience in a directly related field OR Minimum eight (8) years of directly related experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 110,800.00 to 160,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
