Job Description
Essential Functions
Review various middleware technologies in a cloud environment, manage seamless deployment, and integrate with other internal middleware technologies and applications.
Lead the design, implementation, and management of highly available and scalable infrastructure for all cloud initiatives (Ex: GCP, Azure, AWS).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud-based operational architectures.
Design, implement, and optimize Middleware components & services on GCP/Azure/AWS.
Develop and implement best practices and standards for deploying and managing applications on Middleware components.
Perform system and application performance tuning and optimization to maximize efficiency and scalability.
Develop and manage automation plan for deploying, managing, and monitoring middleware technologies.
Ensure the middleware technology stack's security, scalability, and performance.
Provide technical guidance and support to more prominent team members.
Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
Open to experimenting with Open Source technology, performing POC, providing recommendations, and driving to standardization.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer in a role managing Middleware technology stack or similar role.
- Strong working experience with one or more middleware technologies related to Caching , Messaging, Web & App (Hazlecast, Kafka, MQ, Ngnix, Tomcat) areas.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Shell, etc.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision and gather and analyze multiple teams' requirements to assist with deploying and supporting various enterprise middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of Micro Container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift)
- Basic knowledge of programming in Java, J2EE
- Familiar with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible, DevOps tools- Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipeline.
- Understanding of level 3 (engineering) support for integration solutions in production environments
- Should be able to be coordinating with teams spread across globally with occasional provide 24x7 support
- Knowledge of Fraud Management, Payment, and/or Credit Card processing is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail skills
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500.00 to 163,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
