Job Description
- Using VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with VISA’s key clients.
- In coordination with Country Managers and Account Executives, develop plans for consulting activity in the sphere of CMS.
- Develop project pitches and secure new Consulting assignments with clients, as well as reengagements opportunities via a consultative sales approach in assigned markets.
- Lead and deliver consulting projects, primarily in the area of Corporate, but also in other VCA practices as needed. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants' and other vendors’ supervision and project delivery).
- If required, work on client site to design and project manage the implementation of consulting recommendations, marketing campaigns, product value propositions, product migrations, etc.
- Work closely with other VISA groups, including Products, Digital Partnerships & Ventures, Innovation Centers, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless Consulting experience.
- Support Visa’s business development and CMS teams in developing client partnership pitches and proposals.
- Lead knowledge sharing initiatives with consulting teams in other regions to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other solutions to bring global perspective to local clients.
- Support in the development of the CMS practice, a not exhaustive list of activities will include Development and codification of new products / set plays, Liaison with the VCA Data Solutions team for the development of CMS related solutions, Development of thought leaderships including writing papers, Support to the standardization of CMS products at a global level, Contribute to the development of the CMS practice plan at CEMEA level
- Where appropriate, become the CEMEA point of reference for specific products he or she might have developed and or improved
- Where appropriate, work with designated practice areas globally to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other services and leverage global consulting solutions.
- Where appropriate, deliver and manage a network of external Consultants for projects that require external support and Maintain excellent liaison and supervision of external consultants' deliveries, Assist in selecting, recruiting, inducting and training external consulting firms or other vendors, Work with other teams and external consultants to develop new and improved tools and techniques for future consulting activities.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of overall work experience including solid consulting experience
• Consulting experience gained within either a strategy house, a Big 4 firm, or an inhouse strategy function of a financial institution is a plus
• At least 5 years of solid experience in the sphere of Commercial and or transactional banking (including corporate payments, cash management, trade finance), experience should be gained within a top tier bank or the financial services practice of a top tier consulting firm
• At least 4 years of experience in management consulting and deep consulting skills and client engagement capabilities. Advanced client contact and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes. Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and VISA.
• Combination of regional and global experience is also desired
• Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint skills and Excel skills.
• Superior project management skills. Fluent communicator.
• Relationship management skills, should be able to manage internal and external stakeholders at senior levels
• Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused.
• Able to travel frequently and work on client site.
• Self motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter disciplinary groups.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, Fluency in Arabic or Russian is a plus
