Job Description

The Business-to-Business Identity and Access Management (B2B IAM) development team is responsible for providing capabilities that enable secure, reliable platform and connectivity between and among applications, services, data, and gateways so that Visa products and services can be delivered to clients globally.

 

The Software Engineer will operate as an individual contributor as part of the Visa Business-to-Business Identity Management System development team. Candidate is expected to develop in advanced and complicated Unix Systems using Java technology. This position is opened at Bengaluru, India location.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for development deliverables that include unit design, coding, unit testing, functional testing and documentation

  • Coordinate, participate and manage development activities, which can include SQL programming, software configuration, source codes control, defects management, implementation planning, build automation and security remediation

  • Assist level 2 support to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production issues

  • Work with cross-functional teams from both business and IT to complete assigned tasks

  • Under the supervision of the technical lead: interact with Technical Product Manager or Business to define and clarify requirements. Create and modify business use cases. Create solution approach based on business requirement

  • Innovate and develop software solutions to meet business requirements

  • Ensure development work adheres to Visa’s Development Management Methodology (DMM), Technical Security Requirements (TSR) and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience in software design and application development
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related technology discipline
• Experience with software development utilizing Java, J2EE and Spring
• Knowledge of data modeling and Microsoft SQL programming will be a plus
• Some knowledge or academic work in identity and access management and/or application security preferred
• Experience with open source software tools such as Tomcat, Linux, Eclipse, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory preferred
• Knowledge of or experience with agile development methodology
• Demonstrated ability to code or solve complex software development, design and production issues
• Ability to understand application system topology at all levels
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and time-management skills along with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take direction from senior developer but also work independently and deliver quality work result
• Proactive and a go-getter to get job done
