Job Description

The Payment Products Development (PPD) division is the heart of Visa’s Technology Organization, managing VisaNet, the payment network enabling global commerce across all payment channels supported by Visa.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Operations to lead our global team in business and workforce planning, product delivery transformation, data analytics, reporting, and compliance. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in managing complex initiatives and driving organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a global team in business planning, product delivery transformation, and operations.

  • Ensure compliance with project management, security, and financial controls.

  • Manage a 2500-employee global workforce plan.

  • Lead the transition from Waterfall to Hybrid and Agile delivery models and tools.

  • Standardize data, metrics, and processes across various methodologies and tools.

  • Provide detailed reports and communications to stakeholders and executive management.

  • Offer data analytics to support executive decision-making.

  • Support technology planning through data analysis and presentation creation.

  • Facilitate cross-team and cross-location collaboration.

  • Drive divisional compliance with corporate processes and controls.

  • Develop operational metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement.

  • Lead financial forecasting, monitoring, and budget management.

  • Collaborate with project management, architecture, and engineering to define consistent metrics and reports.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in software delivery project management and operations.
• Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation.
• Familiarity with audit and compliance best practices.
• Basic understanding of corporate finance and accounting.
• Experience with software delivery and reporting tools, including Jira Align, Tableau, Power BI, and more.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading a software delivery process transformation.
• Experience in the Payments industry.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176,900.00 to 256,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
