Job Description
This is a Consulting and Analytics Director that will deliver consulting support and projects to VISA's key clients across markets to help optimize clients' payment cards portfolio performance, thereby ensuring that Visa is both their preferred brand and a unique business/marketing partner and enhancing relationships banks.
Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area
Market Knowledge
- Understand market trends, client needs, the competitive landscape, and overarching privacy & regulatory environments within your market.
- Help identify and deliver against the needs of clients (Banks, Merchants) in your markets, relating to portfolio management, digital promotion, data analytics.
- Effectively package, sell and deliver Consulting & Analytics solutions for clients
Key Responsibilities
- Using VISA and external data to analyze client needs across the focus markets and identify opportunities for consulting assignments with VISA’s key clients.
- Deliver Consulting projects. Resolve complex strategic problems. Synthesize and manage complex project structures when required. Manage, facilitate and implement consulting services and meet client's business targets (assignment objectives, project scope, budget, paperwork, external consultants' supervision and project delivery). Work closely with other VISA groups, including Product, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless Consulting experience in the countries of focus.
- Work on client site to design and project manage the implementation of marketing campaigns, value propositions and prepaid & credit products
- Develop and deliver client training programs and impart best practices knowledge sharing to VISA clients.
- Where appropriate, work with designated practice areas globally to incorporate best practice, source analytical or other services and leverage global consulting solutions.
- Where appropriate, manage a network of external Consultants for projects that require external support and: 1) Maintain excellent liaison and supervision of external consultants' deliveries. 2) Assist in selecting, recruiting, inducting and training external consulting firms 3) Work with other teams and external consultants to develop new and improved tools and techniques for future consulting activities.
- Liaise with VISA functional teams (Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing) to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients.
Strategic Nature, Mgmt Accountability, & Scope
- Work with key Clients on different levels and in various projects development to daily implementation support.
- Support, shape, update and drive VAC strategy and operational plans in your market
- Provides sales, operational and technical support to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Project manages solution implementations to achieve milestones and objectives for the markets
- Produce executive management reports, briefings and other related communications.
Decision Making & Complexity
- Prioritize work effort against client needs and internal KPIs.
Financial & Organizational Scope
- Ensure achievement of financial targets outlined in business cases / consulting projects
- Must be able to work effectively in a matrix, cross-functional organization structure and participate in cross-functional projects, especially relating to innovation, benefits, loyalty, consumer experiences, product and solution design & delivery.
The director can be located in one of the three locations: Tbilisi, Almaty, Tashkent.
Qualifications
• Master's degree or equivalent.
• At least ten years of solid experience in the following areas: value proposition design, product development and launch, portfolio and P&L management in the credit and prepaid space
• Experience should be gained within a top-tier bank or the financial services practice of a top-tier consulting firm. A combination of regional and global experience strongly desired.
• Deep consulting skills and client engagement capabilities. Advanced client contact and presentation skills. Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills
• Strong interpersonal skills will be required to address on-going needs of a complex, matrix reporting structure
• Multicultural sensitivity and interpersonal relationship management skills are essential including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
