Job Description
VP, Global Sponsorship & Property Management will lead the efforts in oversight and maximization of all sponsorship platforms and expand, diversify and evolve the sponsorship platforms at Visa to drive business outcomes across the brand, clients and product. The role will work with across all functions, with external partners and agencies, globally to effectively manage, negotiate and diversify the sponsorship portfolio of partners, assets, talent and services. Continue to evolve our brand strategy within our sponsorship platforms so that we remain differentiated and provide more value-added engagement and opportunities in today’s environment.
As a result, this role requires a leader whose skills and capabilities span strategy, contract negotiation, property management and operations. It will entail identifying, communicating and negotiating terms, asset mix and providing data and analytics to drive valuation projections that fit within the Visa business model. It will include leading the sponsorship strategic development and tactics to sharpen Visa’s brand distinction within the payments industry (including both traditional and emerging Fintech companies) and deepen its cultural relevance with key companies thru sponsorship platforms.

Specific Responsibilities
- Position Visa’s global sponsorship platforms to drive impactful outcomes that deliver against the company’s brand, product and client objectives, driving preference, relevance for Visa and increasing partner and consumer demand for Visa products.
- Lead property management for the Oly/Para, FIFA, Global Soccer, Red Bull Technologies and USSF, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the USSF property as well as support Visa’s macro ‘football’ strategy laddering under our global FIFA structure.
- Partner with Global Sponsorship Strategy & Regions to further develop global Gaming vertical opportunities for client activation. Support client options with existing partnerships for FIFA, Global Soccer and new platforms (e.g. Intel World Open, EA Sports), support development of global Gaming footprint, design
- Create budget proposals annually and per property, maintain positive ROI across channels including brand measurements.
- Drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations, updates and strategic planning initiatives to executives - C-Suite, senior management, functional, or regional management regarding experiences for Visa.
- Lead & Support global property platforms
- Lead contractual negotiations manage asset allocation, contract breaches, enhancements and amendments – added value, reimbursements
- Build and maintain a Visa sponsorship Center of Excellence including industry trends, competitive landscape, measurement etc.
- Evaluate regional sponsorship strategies and property/asset negotiations
- Lead regular competitive analysis, social monitoring, and updates across the business to protect Visa’s strategic investments and understating of the cultural landscape to enhance the sponsorship footprint.
- Integrate with regions and market – identifying and amplifying local and regional sponsorship opportunities or strategies that could be leveraged globally & help steward regional strategies. Share best practices, case studies and re-caps for future growth.
- Implement and oversee a standardized set of sponsorship policies, procedures, and processes.
- Facilitate sharing of learnings and strategies across global and local sponsorship teams, functional partners, and agencies.
Team Management:
- Lead, recruit, and train team of over 6 direct reports.
- Lead agency relationships, contracts, statements of work, procurement, and budget management.
- Partner with functional teams across Global Sponsorship as well as Global Brand Strategy, Global Marketing Services, Global Digital and Social Leads, Research & Insights, MS&A, and Strategy Planning.
- Lead partnerships with business partners – Finance, Sourcing, HR, Audit, and other external departments with respect to overall sponsorship requests.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
• Higher education BS or MBA.
• 15+ years of property partnerships and sponsorship experience with 10+ years of work experience in managing global projects and properties.
• Experience innovating a complex global brand in complex tech-driven, consumer centric environments.
• Commercially astute and emotionally intelligent leader able to engage with outside partners, global/regional marketing teams and influence business decisions and stakeholders.
• Track record of thought leadership, vision around brand strategy and evolution while negotiating multimillion dollar deals.
• Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills and leads by influence and example.
• Exceptional project management skills and is able to drive consensus in cross regional and cross functional teams.
• Current on Industry and individual talent trends.
• Ability to handle projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of marketing business problems.
• Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 218,100.00 to 340,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
