Job Description

Visa Commercial Solutions is a world-class organization responsible for growing all flows between businesses and governments, from SMBs to the largest global corporations.  The B2B Acceptance team has the responsibility for defining and executing the global B2B product vision for Visa's commercial merchant solutions.  With 20T in untapped card-able spend, Visa is positioning itself to capture more than its fair share of this opportunity by focusing on improving the value proposition of card payments for B2B merchants.  This includes developing services and capabilities that reduces friction in the payment process while offering an economic model where cost is commensurate with the value.

We are responsible for the development and commercialization of new and enhanced products and services, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing & acquiring partners. The team serves financial institutions, processors, Fintech partnerships, and their downstream clients.  We work collaboratively with Visa’s Merchant Services Accounts, B2B Partnerships and Commercial Sales organizations around the globe.

 

As the Senior Manager, Product Management, your primary responsibilities will be gathering business requirements, liaising with technical teams through discovery forums, and preparing for product launches. This business-oriented role requires a deep understanding of our business objectives and how they translate into our product development and launch processes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product manager with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed environment.  Diplomacy to manage relationships and expectations, while ensuring a strong global approach and alignment, is critical to succeeding in this role.  He/She must have proven experience in commercializing innovative products that deliver strong value propositions to the market.  This role requires strategic leadership, innovation, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills.  He/she is creative and hands-on, has a bias towards action and is able to inspire others with his/her vision.

This is a hybrid position.  Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.  Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Capture voice of customer and analyze data to help inform product strategies, feature roadmap and or new vertical opportunities
Understand market needs, developing value propositions, product requirements, rules, pricing, roadmap, and communicating internally and externally
Lead the process of gathering and defining business requirements from stakeholders, translating these needs into actionable plans for our technical teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders and users, to understand and document their needs and expectations
Collaborate with global platform owners as well as core technology teams on the planning, prioritization and execution of the product roadmaps
Prioritize projects and launch activities based on business value and stakeholder input.
Facilitate clear and effective communication between business units and technical teams, resolving any potential issues or misunderstandings that may arise.
Lead discovery forums, serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared and understood vision of business objectives.
Establish and codify processes to ensure a simplified sales, implementation and onboarding model to support scale
Monitor the progress of initiatives, projects, and launch preparations, ensuring they align with the defined business requirements and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including regional product, technology, legal, compliance, marketing, sales, operations, client services, and risk to ensure successful launch of products & capabilities

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 127,300.00 to 230,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
