Job Description

Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) business delivers new revenue streams for Visa and augments our core offerings. We do this through:

  • Extending the edges of the network and adding value to all transaction types (Issuing Solutions, Acceptance Solutions)
  • Delivering security solutions and driving a state-of-the-art payment experience (Risk and Identity Solutions)
  • Powering new services across new sets of rails and transaction types (Open Banking)
  • Solving client problems and attaching value added solutions (Advisory Services)

The VAS Consolidation Strategic Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. The Finance team uses a strategic finance advisory model with key stakeholders—throughout our five VAS business areas—to apply data to business and finance decisions, as well as measure performance. The team serves as a partner for executives and provides finance support for teams that are propelling growth at Visa. We are an agile, highly visible team that collaborates across functions, regions, and products to play a key role in providing financial planning, month-end reporting, and financial advisory support for key decisions.

Position Summary:

As a Financial Analyst you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the worldwide leader of Visa’s VAS business, the global VAS Operations leader, and the various VAS finance teams that support our five business areas. This role requires interpersonal skills to cultivate partnerships across functions, regions, and teams, to drive thought leadership, and successfully enact all planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting processes. This role presents results and provides insights and analysis to business partners and executives. The ideal candidate has a background in financial analysis, preferably with a public company, and proven results collaborating with team members and supported functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the coordination, organization, and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses. Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, enhanced financial / business reporting, business case development, pricing analysis, P&L generation, and business planning support.
  • Supports business case development for key initiatives, ad hoc requests, and special projects.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (i.e., executives and staff) in the business and serves as a key point of contact for finance issues.
  • Acquires and maintains a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities, and issues of the business.
  • Applies overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner.
  • Identifies and implements changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making.
  • Learn and understand Visa’s financial reporting systems: run data queries, build financial architecture, and support finance technology initiatives.
  • Builds near and long-term views for growth that align with business strategy and data.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics or related quantitative field
• At least 2 years of relevant financial analysis work experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, strong skills in PowerPoint, and experience in business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, ability to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses.
• Ability to cultivate effective relationships and communicate effectively cross-functionally and with all levels of management.
• Proven expertise in modeling techniques and managing large data sets.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are extremely critical.
• Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and produce time sensitive deliverables.
• Strong curiosity to connect the dots and tell the story through the financials.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 98,000 to 138,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
