Job Description
The Issuing Solutions Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an ambitious and self-driven Program Manager to lead projects within the DPS Core ATM product line. Our PMO team consists of leaders who manage complex customer-facing software projects. In this role, you should be adept at problem solving and taking ownership of issues through their resolution. You must effectively facilitate discussion, communicate outcomes, and drive action items. You should be security-conscious, customer-oriented, and process-focused. You must be prepared to lead technical project teams, as well as manage vendors, to deliver high-quality software enhancements and innovative features that contribute to revenue-generating opportunities for our business.
As a Technical Program Manager:
You will lead software development projects of various size and complexity with overlapping/competing timelines from initiation to release leveraging Waterfall, Agile or a hybrid methodology.
You will partner with the business, architecture, engineers, external teams, and vendors to understand key integrations and dependencies.
You will collaborate with technology teams across Visa Inc. to secure resource commitments in support of project objectives and timelines.
You will create and manage project plans, monitor progress, remove impediments, and manage schedule change controls.
You will ensure alignment between budget, forecast, and actuals, and you will manage cost change controls.
You will manage vendor activities such as sourcing engagement, purchase request approval, receiving, invoicing, and vendor deliverables.
You will facilitate technical discussions, communicate complex issues and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to achieve the project objectives.
You will manage and escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes that impede project delivery.
You will demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement and will promote positive change in the organization.
You will tailor project communication to the audience, including technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
You will ensure projects comply with Visa's Project Management Methodology, maintaining quality project artifacts that demonstrate adherence to internal processes and controls.
You will participate in trainings, meetings, and events to continually grow your career as a Program Manager and within Visa Inc.
You will model accountability by taking responsibility for your actions, behaviors, and decisions.
Essential Functions:
Solid understanding of project management techniques, including both waterfall and agile methodologies and their best practices.
Experience managing technology software development and or infrastructure projects.
Drive projects from concept to implementation by managing day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of large-scale complex projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Work with business and technology subject matter experts to create accurate estimates, produce project charters and other documentation required for funding approvals and forecasting against approved budget.
Manage change of scope, schedule, and cost through the change control process.
Manage and drive projects to achieve objectives within the committed schedule while identifying and actively managing risks and dependencies.
Facilitate project team meetings and reviews, encouraging open and inclusive dialogue.
Effectively communicate progress, risks or issues with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, business partners, vendors, and senior management.
Navigate ambiguous situations and scenarios by using problem solving skills, by demonstrating ownership and accountability, and by persevering through challenges.
Ensure projects comply with Visa's Project Management Methodology and controls.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• 7-9 years of relevant experience as a Technical Program/Project Manager using both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with tools such as Jira Align, Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence
Experience working with teams that require cross-functional and cross-time zone interactions
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
• Excellent time management, communication, facilitation, collaboration, and organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
• Ability to analyze and organize a plan based upon available information.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and ensure successful task completion and influence without direct authority to achieve necessary goals.
• Strong leadership qualities, organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to effectively manage issues and complex situations.
• Ability to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate activities with other teams when needed.
• PMP certification and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred.
• Concentration in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) as well as project management, reporting, and Agile tools including Tableau, JIRA, Microsoft ADO, MS Project, Clarity PPM, SharePoint, and Confluence.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500.00 to 163,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
