Function/Team Summary

 

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g., insurance claim disbursements), and more.  The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion of payment volume globally.

 

The Visa Direct product team is responsible for identifying and driving strategic enhancements to the Visa Direct platform. We support end-to-end product management including ideation, discovery, technical build, new feature launch, across all aspects of the feature set, including Sales, Solutions, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, and many other functional partners.

 

Job Description/Essential Functions

 

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Product Readiness team. This team supports global Product Managers and own the processes, tools, and oversight to ensure we are building / delivering against the product roadmap. We ensure all stakeholders are informed and ready to support products for our clients.

 

The right candidate is a self-starter, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.  The candidate possesses an incredible ability to partner well with others and drive projects forward.

 

This role will be responsible for coordinating the launch and growth of the Visa Direct product across a wide range of workstreams including Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Implementation, Client Service and Product. This position requires working with teams that follow Agile practices as well as traditional  methodologies.  Additionally, the Senior Product Manager will help to develop our processes and toolset to support new features as they go to market. This role will be adept at using content as a method to empower customers and increase product adoption, as well as communicate timely and effectively to the business. This is NOT a technical program management role. This role supports and works directly with the Visa Direct global product managers to bring the product vision to life and deliver upon it.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Strong knowledge of Project Management and Agile tools such as JIRA
• Extensive hands-on experience performing change impact assessments to determine impact to internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (Business owners, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and others) in the creation of solutions for complex, global business problems and ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding of all solution requirements
• Collect and transform information into useful and interesting content for customers and employees, which can convey ideas relevant to the industry
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, dependencies, and impacts
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes, and the capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities
• Strong executive presence and experience advising and interfacing business leadership on technology-related issues, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication
• Ability to independently drive projects through to completion
• Train teams on updates to processes
• Identify opportunities for process and tool improvement
• Drive complex projects in collaboration with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
• Collect and transform information into useful and interesting content for customers and employees, which can convey ideas relevant to the industry
• Payments experience preferred

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,200.00 to 214,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
