Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

VCA Managed Services (VMS) is an augmentation of Visa’s consultancy offering, supporting the execution and implementation of recommendations to help scale competitive advantage and operate to succeed in the digital age.

As the Senior Technical Solutions Manager for VMS, you will be responsible for growing a critical managed services pillar focused on Technology Strategy and Implementation.  Technology Strategy services enable clients to assess their current technical architecture, envision their future state, and clarify the roadmap to long-term success.  Technology Implementation services build on the success of Technology Strategy engagements, equipping clients with the technical delivery teams needed to bring their vision to life.

As our Visa product suite grows and develops more complex options for clients, it’s imperative that we have specific, deep knowledge of our capabilities to help solution with them. You will be accountable for driving detailed discussions with both clients and Visa stakeholders (such as account and product teams) to ensure understanding of products and services, identifying how/where our clients can make the most use of our capabilities. You are someone who is  sufficiently conversant in technical architecture, within the context of banking and payments, to accurately scope development efforts effectively with technical resources. This expertise will also support solutioning for new areas of opportunity that may include new use cases, fintech constructs or verticals.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned consultant, “a natural” in front of clients, a payments expert, and an entrepreneur who can partner across Visa clients.  The role will identify common client needs, develop offerings that leverage Visa’s extensive capabilities, subject matter expertise, and third-party partners, price the solution appropriately, pitch the client, close the sale, and oversee delivery.  The role will collaborate with a host of internal and external partners to develop, sell, and deliver solutions.  You will articulate the value proposition to clients, customize the offerings as needed to address client feedback, and ultimately close the sale.  Additionally, you will be able to flex across various client stakeholders, to include those in digital, data sciences, marketing, CRM, payments, and fraud/risk.

For clarity, this role will not be involved in the day-to-day technical development work with clients.  Rather, it will engage at more of a Project / Programme planning, scoping and governance level to ensure that delivery teams are constructed and upskilledappropriately and are delivering against client goals and objectives, making any necessary course corrections.
