Job Description
The Director, Co-Brand Business Development will be responsible for building and executing a co-brand business development strategy for India. This role requires leadership, vision and creativity to develop the co-brand strategy, drive the expansion of Visa products and services, and lead the overall commercialization of Visa’s business development objectives. This would include leading the business development processes to prospect, sell-in, negotiate, contract and win new co-brand business for Visa in India.
This role will dual report into the Head of Co-brand for Asia Pacific and Head of Merchant Partnerships for India. This role will collaborate with functions across Visa such as the co-brand partnerships team at Visa’s AP hub and merchant sales leaders, issuer account leaders, marketing, consulting, analytics, product teams in Visa’s India & South Asia organization. Externally, this role will collaborate and negotiate directly with C-level executives at merchants and issuers.
Qualifications
• Deep Business Development and Partnerships Experience – Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business. Experience selling ideas and solutions to senior management based on client priorities and needs. Proven ability to manage a pipeline, structure a deal, negotiate business agreements and drive commercial results.
• Collaboration and Relationship Building – Demonstrated experience building and leveraging strong relationships at multiple levels.
• Exceptional Leadership – Strong executive presence and experience leading cross-functional teams to promote a shared vision and deliver as a single team.
• Excellent Communicator – Superb ability to influence and collaborate at all levels. ability to articulate strategic concepts through exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Drive for Results & Resilience – Strong project management skills with ability to deliver tangible business results and ability to take forward slow burning opportunities with strong zeal like fast moving opportunities

• 12+ years of experience (with a focus on the Payments industry)
• 5+ years Co-brand issuer and/or merchant experience, preferably across a variety of relevant industries such as everyday spend, airline, retail and/or ecommerce/digital marketplace.
• Strong business development and/or program management capabilities along with understanding of implications for issuers, networks and merchants.
• Deep knowledge of payment economics and partnership structures with analytic orientation and viewpoint on emerging partnership trends.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
