Job Description

What’s it all about?

Business Development Team in Central Easter Europe focuses on growth of categories growth in 8 markets being Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia. We lead our cluster efforts in the area of sales and proposition build for commercial cards, SME business, transactional banking, cross border, new flows, fintech and strategic partnerships. These specific business lines are seen as significant drivers for Visa’s future growth.

In the role of Business Development Lead you will have a direct impact on the strategy and its execution. You will take accountability for delivery of related objectives. You will work with Visa clients and partners, you will closely cooperate with other functions in the market, in the cluster, in Europe and globally as well as you will become a leader of great and talented Team of BD Managers.

What we expect of you, day to day:

Visa is seeking an experienced professional to join the CEE Business Development Team as a Lead for 3 markets (Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary). This role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Take accountability for delivery of relevant sales and net revenue objectives in 4 markets together with the team of Business Development Managers
  • Define relevant strategies and specific market plans
  • Work closely with local and cluster resources executing strategies, increasing payments volume and securing long-term revenue with Visa clients and partners
  • Use your network to find, develop and manage commercial relationships with issuers and partners in the market
  • Work with clients to identify new and ongoing requirements, introducing new products and services as appropriate
  • Quickly get up to speed on Visa’s product offering, specializing in commercial solutions and new flows related propositions, and understanding how those can help our clients achieve their business objectives
  • Develop and execute sales strategies / account plans to increase sales volume and market share, expand product category visibility and exceed defined product and corporate objectives
  • Coordinate and own the key sales pipeline, ensuring all opportunities are properly reported
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach that ensures that the client’s business objectives are met
  • Continuously review payment landscape, recommend and help develop ways to driving our business growth

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and understanding of how payments and financial services sectors operate
• Consultative sales experience, with the ability to educate a wide range of stakeholders on Visa’s capabilities, clearly business oriented, able to push business development and produce business cases
• Proven depth of experience in driving client growth and winning new business in B2B or financial services environment.
• Ability to negotiate business agreements and enhance existing and new relationships.
• Experience in effectively creating and confidently delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
• Ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills.
• Degree level education is desirable, or hold equivalent professional experience
