Job Description

We are looking for an experienced product manager who is passionate about designing the next generation of payment tools to achieve Visa's goals. Products for blockchain tokenization of assets, interoperability between blockchain networks, and payment solutions that utilize tokenized real world assets are all within this team's purview.

You can expect to spend time working with clients to understand their tokenization vision, translate that vision into new features for our product portfolio, and work with the dev team to manage backlog and requirements to get new features implemented.

This role should have expertise in Agile product management, be able to speak fluidly with both technical and business staff and have a passion for blockchain, tokenization and finance that keeps you motivated to find solutions and keep pushing when roadblocks appear.

Position to be filled in Visa - Foster City office and does not support relocation assistance

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Expertise in crypto, CBDC, blockchain tokenization
  • Experience facilitating requirements from clients during workshops
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation (BPMN, UML, etc.)
  • Experience in financial services and/or payments
  • Senior product manager with 5+ years of experience in digital product management
  • Familiarity with Jira Align and Jira
  • Familiarity writing epics and user stories in Agile methodology
  • Ability to take a complex use case and break down into component requirements (requirements decomposition)
  • Ability to lead Agile pod towards execution of roadmap items to include initial estimation of use case and requirements, documentation of user stories into Jira, clarification of requirements working with develoers, and tracking of timelines and completion of story points towards overall release goals
  • Ability to lead meetings with senior execs both internal and external
  • Ability to document problems as they arise and escalate when necessary
  • Ability to write test cases, perform user acceptance testing, and confirm business requirements are met
  • Ability to support meetings in multiple time zones and have a flexible schedule to support emerging opportunities and night-time meetings 1-2 days a week
  • Ability to create compelling presentations, consulting experience, and or sales pitch deck experience
  • Ability to liaison between product team, engineering, business, and research teams and bridge the gap in speaking to a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or similar
  • Familiarity with release management practices and maintaining documentation relating to all product releases

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 191,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
