Job Description

What’s it all about? This is a product manager role in Visa Products Consumer Solutions team in CEE, for managing Core & VAS solutions.  The Consumer Solutions team drives consumer product innovation and development in collaboration with markets, European and global product teams. The role will support the payment growth strategy for credit, debit, prepaid cards and assist with private label opportunities.

The Product Manager, CEE has primary ownership and accountability for bringing new Visa products and solutions to CEE cluster to ensure Visa continues to hold its leadership position in driving the growth of core & VAS  products. 

Additionally, tailors compelling consumer product propositions to client’s needs, with strong focus on benefits, affluent and premium segments and use subject matter expertise as well as thought leadership to help account executives win new business.  

This role requires proactive approach, strong strategy les, consultative client engagement. Priorities and needs to deliver solutions that are typically complex, strategic, and cross-functional in nature. You will combine your product and project management experience with strong awareness of trends in consumer payment preferences and technology usage, with the goal to develop payment experiences and solutions, that increase customer engagement with the Visa product.


The right candidate must possess solid technical and functional understanding of payment systems, core product (Debit, Credit, Prepaid and Premium), VAS (benefits & services) , protocols and frameworks, and this must balance with business acumen and commercial instincts. Will have demonstrable success at working effectively across matrixed organizations, can define and articulate the market’s product requirements, develop and champion changes in order to align Visa client needs with those of the successful ongoing growth of the network. The candidate must also have strong coordination and project management skills to be able to deliver on large cross-functional projects. The role will engage closely with account executives, clients and various local and regional teams, in order to influence adoption of the solutions on the market.

The role is based in Warsaw and will require occasional domestic travel and abroad.

Day to day activities

  • Own and manage dedicated  product end-to-end.
  • Co-create in collaboration with HUB, tailor to the market and internally sell the premium product development strategy. Demonstrate creativity in the creation, search, and implementation of new benefits for affluent clients, and show determination in the execution of proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to define product vision and strategy, identify market opportunities, understand customer needs, gather product requirements, determine product roadmap/ platform customization in alignment with global product and the markets. 
  • Design new product constructs and will identify key enablers to support the launch and go-to-market effort of clients.
  • Ensure Visa rules supporting the products are fit for purpose and updated in line with Visa and regulatory requirements. 
  • Will facilitate the delivery of consumer centric research and data, the development of client facing materials (presentations, marketing collateral and thought leadership), and timely product performance updates to key stakeholders Identifying opportunities for value creation and sales of Visa products based on understanding of client’s challenges and goals
  • Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of various customer segment business needs, leveraging Visa solutions across multiple platforms
  • Working hand-in-hand with colleagues from other functional areas
  • Thought leadership with internal and external stakeholders including participation in industry events,
  • Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with the client and the Visa organization
  • Leading and contributing to win strategy for RFPs
  • Contribution to building the awareness of Visa innovative and new solutions approach among clients during dedicated cross-products meetings

What we’re after…

  • Have a blend of technical understanding of banking products functioning and project expertise on how to deploy and introduce them in the market
  • Experience preferably in cards and banking industry
  • Mid-level experience in product management, preferably in banking industry
  • Proven experience with product development, sale support, project management, card operations and ability to translate client needs into product/solution requirements 
  • Strong understanding of consumer debit and credit products as well as well as affluent segment needs.
  •  High analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to flex and demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with financial analysis
  • Strong team orientation, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross functionally in a matrixed organization and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrates energy and positive response when tackling challenging problems and views complicated tasks as engaging or motivating, and positive under pressure
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects with many stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
  • Executive presence; strong written and oral communication-including large-group presentations
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
