Job Description
Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to accounts around the world using push payment technology. The NA Financial Planning & Analysis team serves as a strategic business partner for business leaders in NA Visa Direct (NAVD), providing essential finance support. The candidate will be a key member of the highly visible NAVD team and collaborate across a matrixed organization to lead/deliver budgeting/forecasting, management reporting, and decision support analytics to the business leaders.
Essential Functions:
Financial Management:
- Lead monthly close, budgeting and forecasting processes by developing timelines and templates, communicating guidance on key deliverables, and building senior executive presentations that bring overall themes and insights together
- Analyze monthly and quarterly results, identify and interpret key variances, trends, and insights, present key findings to senior leadership and executive management audience
- Combine observed patterns and trends to create accurate forecasts, able to triangulate and exercise judgement
- Provide leadership and establish efficient processes for regular performance reporting and process improvements to streamline deliverables and build efficiencies
- Spearhead ad-hoc projects to further improve the overall performance of the team and organization(s)
Business Engagement:
- Integration of finance into the business, attend team meetings, gain understanding of the business
- Tailored, effective presentations, analysis and dialogue with each business partners across regions and functions
- Dialogue around budget and spend to optimize budget and investments and drive return-on-investment discipline
- Develop, improve, and manage robust toolkit to help analyze the business and enable management decision making
Strategic Advice and Partnership:
- Partner with business leads to evaluate the financial impact of potential investments and develop long term financial plans
- Develop and present strategic insights about the business utilizing use cases and its effectiveness in driving NAVD growth
- Align functional goals and strategies to broader Money Movement Solutions initiatives
- Lead performance diagnostics, budgeting, forecasting, multi-year strategic outlook and management reporting
- Become a valued business partner to Visa Direct business stakeholders and executive management
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of combined Finance and Accounting experience, or at least 5 years of with an Advanced Degree, prior experience in FP&A preferred
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, business performance analytics
• Foundational understanding of multi-party economic model (issuers, acquirers, processors, interchange, merchants, cardholders, etc.)
• Ability to build impactful relationships and effectively communicate with management to influence results, and able to work within a dual-reporting matrix structure
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with business leaders in global and regional function
• Operates with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently using strong business judgement
• Team oriented, collaborative, detail oriented, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, oral and writing capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling (Excel) and presentation building (PowerPoint)
• Experience with Hyperion, Tableau, Power BI is a plus
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 133,000.00 to 192,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
