Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Product Lifecycle Manager to join the Consumer Payments Product Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, governing, and continuously improving the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework for the Consumer Payments business. You will collaborate across different business units, and cross-functionally with global and regional counterparts within and outside product (e.g., finance, pricing, risk, technology, client services, sales). You will focus on implementing effective processes to help the business develop more fit-for-purpose products. You will develop reporting capabilities to drive transparency and insights for our product organization(s). These activities are aligned with the greater objective of becoming a more effective and higher performing product organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement processes, governance, forums, and metrics for the PLM framework
  • Engage with partners across multiple functions to pressure test the PLM framework, gather feedback, and produce recommendations to improve
  • Partner with product managers to implement the PLM framework and drive adoption
  • Be a subject matter expert across the PLM framework – train and coach the organization on the processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and effective management of expectations
  • Drive strategic projects to increase transparency, operational effectiveness, communication, and collaboration (e.g., PLM dashboard)
  • Parter with the central PLM team to deliver enhancements of PLM across Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a
PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an
Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• Must work well in highly collaborative, matrixed and team-oriented environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communications skills - capable of
developing well-structured communications and presentations
• Strategic and analytical ability to synthesize and organize data/information into actionable
recommendations with clear customer and shareholder impact
• Collaborative - You can drive decisions and build coalitions across different teams independently
• Previous experience in product management or implementing a product lifecycle
• Previous experience in management consulting or a similar role
• Natural intellectual curiosity, initiative, and love for learning new skills and capabilities
• Proven experience driving organizational change at a large company
• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior level
executives
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and collaboration skills. Strong team player
• Proficiency in agile development frameworks, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Comfort with ambiguity and constant change
• Experience developing reports that drive business decisions

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,900.00 to 213,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
