Job Description

Team Summary

The marketing team is responsible for promoting and selling Visa’s products or services throughout various marketing channels. This can include tasks such as market research, advertising, promotion, sponsorship, cross border marketing, event planning, marketing services and client support.

The goal of the marketing team is to increase brand awareness and usage, and to drive customer engagement, acquisition, and ultimately, business. This can be accomplished through a variety of strategy and tactics, including creating and distributing content, launching advertising campaigns, building partnerships with influencers, merchant partners and clients, and using data analytics to track and measure the success of efforts.

The Senior Manager at Visa plays a crucial role in driving the company's marketing efforts. They are responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to attract potential users/clients and retain existing ones. The responsibilities include market research to identify opportunities for campaign and promotion, overseeing the production of all marketing materials, and tracking the success of marketing campaigns. The Senior Manager works closely with other functions to align the company's marketing strategy with its business goals.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • Develop programs that integrate both B2C and B2B approaches.
  • Support multiple functions in co-creating and executing marketing plans with key clients, driving partner marketing and providing marketing services.
  • Influence other functional teams within the organization to support marketing programs and activities, keeping them informed and engaged.
  • Interact closely with other marketing team members including but not limited to Asia marketing team members in Singapore to fully leverage the organization's assets and resources.
  • Work closely with advertising, media, digital, and promotion agencies to ensure the delivery and execution of projects. Develop and maintain positive agency relationships based on inspiration, respect, and shared passion.
  • Contribute to the reimagining of the organization's key sponsorship assets, working alongside partners and constantly seeking ways to improve the issuance and usage of products/services.
  • Assist with various media, using your knowledge and creativity to find innovative ways to engage the final consumer through social, digital, and mobile channels.
  • Oversee all administrative deliverables related to consumer marketing project management and marketing services, ensuring full compliance with the organization's policy and process.
  • Serve as a brand & marketing steward, ensuring the brand is always presented in alignment with its vision and purpose.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing programs to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 10 years of work experience in relevant marketing space and Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or MBA are preferable)
  • Full bilingual in English and Japanese
  • Experience working in and with multinational organizations with well-positioned local brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and creatively, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and apply it to marketing and communication strategies to achieve desired results and business objectives.
  • Have a strong understanding of the marketing landscape and trends, including digital marketing, and be willing to stay updated.
  • Demonstrate willingness to take responsibility and accountability for the successful completion of projects, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be open to admitting and learning from mistakes, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
