Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA Strategy and Operations (S&O) supports the North America VCA team through setting standards, developing foundational processes, and driving operational performance for the organization.
The North America Consulting and Analytics Practice within the Visa Advisory team provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers, co-brand, merchants, and fintechs in the United States and Canada. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.
The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team supports the North America VCA team through setting standards, developing foundational processes, and driving operational performance for the consulting organization.
The Analyst, Business Analytics, will report to the Director, Strategy & Operations. We are looking for an Analyst who can help provide centralized administrative support across the team and help with PowerBI reporting, Purchase Requisition & Purchase Order creation, and process improvements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support analytics for North America VCA PR/PO, billability, staffing and reporting needs as assigned
Support tracking and reporting processes around consulting metrics and utilization
Collaborate closely with sourcing and controllership functions on working to resolve vendor management issues
Develop a broad and deep understanding of staffing effectiveness
Provide regular reporting and analysis updates for senior level consumption within Visa Inc.
Coordinate operational process improvement efforts and ad hoc projects as needed
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual with previous strategy, consulting and /or financial experience
• Creative thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and appropriate urgency
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive towards desired outcomes
• Aptitude to grasp new and complex concepts quickly
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (highly proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Excellent with communication, story-telling and presentation skills
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into key strategic insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries to access data from different databases and platforms.
• Perform data quality checks and data cleansing using SQL and other tools. Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts - Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt
• Proficient and ideally a power-user of with PowerBI, Excel, PowerApps, and PowerPoint tools
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity and pivot quickly when priorities change
• Works well with people of varying backgrounds, levels-of-expertise, personalities, etc., and builds partnerships
• A great team member who adds energy, ideas and fun to our team and corporate culture
• Proactive and independent with ability to take full ownership of assigned responsibilities
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,700.00 to 160,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
