Team Summary

Our Vietnam Business Development is a diversified team with team members based in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.  In this internship, you will be a member of our Business Development to create impactful results with and for our clients. What a Business Development Intern does at Visa:

The intern will work on exciting client engagements as a part of a team, as well as take responsibility on key portions of new engagements. In this role, you are expected to:

  • Work closely with your manager/team members to drive business growth and ensure initiatives, and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Diligently learn and analyse clients’ portfolios with an eventual goal of identifying key opportunities with clients, and providing analysis.
  • Provide periodic reports to your manager/team to track client performance
  • Support the operational and administrative process for clients.
  • Collaborate with various functions within Visa to communicate client priorities for the purpose of meeting business outcomes

This is an exciting role that provides strategic and critical support to the Business Development team. You may also work closely with other core functions in Visa such as Product, Finance, Merchant Solutions & Acquiring, or Business Solutions to identify areas of opportunity and growth.

Flex Work Arrangement - Hybrid Position - This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need:

We are looking to hire an individual who is curious about the payments industry and has a strong focus on driving results to foster strong partnerships with our clients.

  • Penultimate year undergraduate students who are available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks between June 2024 and August 2024.
  • Legal authorization to work in Vietnam - Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
  • Pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Communication, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong sense of self-motivation to see through planning, execution and completion of projects.
  • The ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills on task management and execution
  • Strong passion for data analysis to generate business insights.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills

What will also help:

  • Knowledge of the payments landscape, emerging players, business models, and trends is preferred.
  • Comfortable in working independently while effectively working across functional lines and managing multiple priorities.
