Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (sending and receiving financial institutions, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to accounts around the world. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The Visa Direct market opportunity in LAC is estimated to be more than 5 Trillion of payment volume.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Visa Direct Ecosystem Readiness for LAC, will be a key team member of the Visa Direct LAC team, which is focused on accelerating the expansion of Visa Direct Money Movement Network, as well as manage all activities related to optimize the Visa Direct ecosystem with internal and external stakeholders in the region.
The scope will include support and executing new strategies, processes, and controls to scale the growth of Visa Direct’s program reach and achieve commercial targets for funds delivery optimization and product efficiently in the region. The candidate must possess a unique combination of product expertise, problem-solving skills, be comfortable with rapid changes, have intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
Support and manage the Visa Direct network expansion in partnership with Global Teams including mandates, change platform impacts and communication for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage procedures for proper educate clients on how to operate in the expanded Visa Direct money movement network.
Support the Visa Direct Risk and AML framework in partnership with the functional leaders.
Manage waivers related to exceptions required to expand the money movement network, tracking opportunity with Clients for enhancements.
Work closely with AML & Risk stakeholders to address specific issues and Client needs for new tools, processes, policies, as well as establish best practices for Clients and engage with stakeholders to improve Visa’s policies and positions, including analysis on regulation changes that can impact our ecosystem.
Develop and continuously improve educational materials for clients and conduct internal stakeholder training to help improve the Visa Direct money movement network in the region.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills necessary in Spanish and English
• Expert level in Excel and advanced level in PowerPoint skills required.
• Communication skills are critical in this role both written and oral. The role will require extensive collaboration with multiple teams.
• Critical thinker, strong organization skills, ability to summarize findings from data, curiosity to deep dive on root cause of trends.
• Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
• Detailed oriented, is expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in market analysis.
• Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately.
• Curiosity about financial/payment industry and a desire to roll up your sleeves to help take open-ended and ambiguous areas of interest and help to bring clarity to the team.
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Good understanding of the banking and payments landscape in the whole Latin America and Caribbean region
• Knowledge of Visa, financial/payment industry, Fintech as well as P2P and funds disbursements market experience
• Close affinity with scheme-based payments.
• Experience in working with API and ISO standard financials services systems.
• Experience with digital payments
• Background in client services and operations.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500.00 to 146,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
