Job Description

Visa’s LAC (Latin America and Caribbean) Client Marketing Services  team  overseas the strategy, planning and execution of a series of verticals that transcends client marketing and brand marketing programs. These verticals include:  (1)  Strategy and Operations, (2) Sponsorships including Sports, eGames, Entertainment, Culinary, and others; (3) Partnerships such as Disney, Marvel, Apple Pay, Samsung, Travel Partners, and others; (4) VMP (Visa Marketing Platform) – a CRM platform to deliver customized campaigns to clients; (5) Card Design;  (6) Regional Client Marketing Relationships such as Santander, Scotiabank, BBVA, and others.    

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join the team to support the evolution, amplification of the Marketing Services offering to our Clients; one of the most important new sources of revenue for the Company.  

The Department rolls into the Marketing function reporting directly to the Head of Marketing in LAC. However, in the day to day, the team works with other Visa functions, included by not limited to Sponsorships; VCA (Visa Consulting & Analytics), Products Team, Finance, Legal, Sourcing,  and of course working directly with the  market-based marketing teams in the region.   

Main purpose of the function is to provide support and guidance to the LAC marketing teams with the tools, strategies, platforms, and other marketing services so the Markets can activate engagements with Clients thus growing Visa’s business in the Region. 

Below are examples of the diverse set of projects that interns have led in the past: 

  • Informed development of a strategic outlook to inform Visa’s strategic approach of the Marketing Services Function through strategic compilation of multiple regional research studies and financial metrics.   
  • Supported global activations of worldwide assets like FIFA World Cup, Olympics and NFL among LAC Clients and Consumers.  
  • Aided development of strategic framework to define future approach to developing and activating brand partnerships to innovate the brand with emerging partners and environments. 
  • Helped support the Strategy & Planning operations across functions among Advisory Services (i.e. VCA), including goal setting and annual planning.  
  • Partnered with regional marketing teams to advance key initiatives, serving as a global hub to facilitate communications across teams, share best practices, and advance key global initiatives. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related field  
  • Graduating December 2024 or later 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Ability to speak Spanish fluently 
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.  
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others and work cross functionally through high organization and project management skills and attention to detail. 
  • Innovative, curious problem solver and an out-of-the-box thinker – always looking to do things better and bring new ideas to the table to position the brand for relevance.  
  • Shows a range of diverse experiences in undergrad, with particular emphasis on content creation, partnerships, and innovation.  
  • Highly driven and resourceful with an ability to influence, as demonstrated through volunteer, athletics, music, arts, or other areas of collegiate life.  
  • Previous experience working within a team, balancing needs of varied stakeholders. 
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and presentation across a range of formats including executive presentations, analytical documents, and email updates. 

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $21.00 to $26.00, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.  

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.  

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
