Job Description

Visa’s Talent Acquisition team is seeking a Director, Early Careers Talent Acquisition to join our diverse industry leading Talent Acquisition team.  The Director, Early Careers Talent Acquisition will successfully lead Talent Acquisition Managers and teams of Talent Acquisition members. This position will play an essential role in driving overall company growth. Reporting to the Global Head Early Career Recruiting & Programs, this leader will be responsible for establishing best-in-class talent acquisition processes, driving innovative delivery of the uniquely Visa candidate experience, promoting an integrated inclusion and diversity strategy, and executing our early career recruiting activity with consistency and precision.

The Director, Early Careers Talent Acquisition (North America) will:

  • Apply fresh ideas and innovative solutions to develop, implement, and lead strategic, impactful, and scalable early careers talent acquisition processes in partnership with the business and in alignment with our workforce goals and objectives.
  • Stand out as an inspirational leader who manages a team of Tech and Non-Tech Early Careers Recruiters.  Excel at enabling the team to shine as trusted business advisors, thrive in a change environment, exemplify high performance teaming, and execute with rigor. 
  • Utilize internal and external data to drive effective strategic solutions, advance the candidate experience, and implement agile process improvements. 
  • Partner with the I&D team, global Talent Acquisition teams, HR partners and business partners to activate the early career talent engagement and acquisition strategy.  Work proactively and collaboratively to drive shared outcomes that strengthen our brand in the market and enriches the pipeline of diverse early career talent into the organization.
  • Effectively implement and deploy technology solutions to drive efficiency and consistency in internal processes and maximize an exemplary candidate experience
  • Participate in annual budgeting, planning, and operating processes

 

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Primary point of contact and trusted business advisor for Tech and Non-Tech clients. Active member of the North America Early Careers Leadership team and collaboration with the Global Early Careers Leadership team. Serves as the point of escalation for significant, complex or sensitive issues related to recruiting activity.
  • Strategy: Define and lead pipeline management and recruiting process improvement strategy for internship and early career recruiting in alignment with Global TA strategic priorities. Ensure that recruiting activities are executed with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, provide consistent reporting insight into the function, monitor and diagnose pipeline health, and implement agile adjustments throughout recruiting life cycle.
  • Operational Excellence: Assess recruiting processes and implement improvements to ensure optimal operational performance. Establish and apply related early career recruiting performance metrics that reinforce execution of best-in-class recruiting experience. Regular evaluation of team capacity and related adjustments based on Early Carers Workforce Planning needs. Consistent adherence to all compliance, governance and legal requirements.  Manage budget with utmost fiscal responsibility. 
  • Inclusion & Diversity: Identify recruiting process improvements to increase diverse Early Career candidate talent pipelines among large applicant volumes. Partner with TA Sourcing teams and I&D teams to identify best in practice sourcing and recruitment processes. Periodically assess and share KPI results with key leaders, including metrics met, exceeded and identifying areas of opportunity.
  • Leadership & Talent: Guide and support the team to collaborate in a trusted environment to reach bold and clear objectives.  Conduct performance and talent reviews and set the strategy for recruiting, onboarding, training of new team members. 
  • Project Management: Lead & prioritize portfolio of early career recruiting and Global TA initiatives identifying and aligning the right resources and talent behind critical projects. Partners successfully with cross-functional TA Leadership Teams to include, but not limited to our Sourcing, Coordinating, Onboarding, DE&I, Compensation, and Talent Partner teams.
  • Participates in Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Prior experience leading multiple TA Managers and teams within a remote and/or hybrid work environment
  • Highly advanced Reporting and Data analytics experience to identify hiring challenges and gaps
  • Results oriented, self-motivated, organized, and resourceful
  • Detail oriented with a proven track record of juggling multiple tasks and meeting various deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Early careers subject matter expertise and strong thought leadership on emerging talent acquisition trends
  • Strong project management, teamwork, process design and execution, analytical, and data-based decision-making skills
  • Inspirational leader who has a proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing teams by setting aggressive objectives and providing clarity and support to reach the objectives together
  • Experience creating and implementing standards for operational excellence and success implementing change within a recruiting function.
  • Experience in evaluating Early Careers Workforce Planning objectives, identifying process improvements and consulting with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a matrixed organization, build impactful key stakeholder relationships at all levels, especially senior level leaders
  • Strategic thinker, trusted business advisor, and global mindset
  • Solid and persuasive verbal, written and consulting communication skills, with a focus on utilizing data to solution and drive action
  • Experience maximizing capability of ATS, CRM, and Events Management tools
  • Bachelor's Degree is required

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 10-15% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,700.00 to 190,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
