Job Description
Join our Ecosystem Risk Programs (ERP) team as the Communications and Project Manager. We're a Global Risk function dedicated to developing industry risk standards and safeguarding the security and integrity of the payment ecosystem from illegal and fraudulent activities.
We are looking for a Communications & Project Manager, to join our team and help us achieve our vision of elevating industry risk controls and operating best in class quality control programs to enable legal commerce.
As an integral member of our team, you will play a multifaceted role that encompasses strategic communication, project management, risk control, research, and process improvement. You will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives about our Ecosystem Risk Programs and fostering a high-performing team environment.
You will lead and coordinate cross-functional projects that address the most critical risks and opportunities for our company and our ecosystem. You will be a key player in ensuring the alignment, collaboration, and effectiveness of our leadership team and organization.

Responsibilities
Strategic Communication and External Engagement:
- Strategically craft and deliver compelling narratives about our Ecosystem Risk Programs to diverse stakeholders, including Advocacy and Industry trade groups.
- Plan and execute external engagements, events, and conferences to effectively showcase and communicate our Ecosystem Risk Programs.
- Ensure impactful delivery of our message by preparing team members for speaking engagements and coordinating their participation.
- Drive executive level communications, reporting, and governance with a consistent rhythm.
Content Creation and Management:
- Accelerate response times to high profile VIRP topics, cases, and media coverage by curating a comprehensive knowledgebase of assets and responses.
- Design captivating launch collateral and informative trainings for our programs.
- Boost the visibility and understanding of our Ecosystem Risk Programs through the creation of engaging media content across multiple platforms.
Project Management:
- Ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives and OKRs by developing and managing project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain the pulse of our projects by managing daily Jira updates and associated reporting.
- Identify and manage risks and issues to ensure the success of our projects and initiatives.
- Steer strategic and high-visibility initiatives from conception to completion.
Team Coordination and Development:
- Foster a high-performing team environment by leading team engagement plan, organizing meetings, and developing growth plans.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and coordination to ensure seamless execution of tasks across teams and departments.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Handle NBIAs, waiver, and appeal requests with promptness and precision.
- Champion bespoke market initiatives such as regulatory requirement compliance, offering global support.
- Champion the maintenance and updates of risk control self-assessments, ensuring comprehensive and proactive management of potential risks of our Ecosystem Risk Programs.
Research and Analysis:
- Inform decision-making and problem-solving by researching, analyzing, and synthesizing information and data.
- Investigate specific high-profile areas for the Visa Integrity Risk Program and enrich our knowledgebase with relevant content.
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence:
- Improve our operational efficiency by contributing to the development of processes, policies, and best practices.
- Enhance the effectiveness of the VP of Ecosystem Risk Programs by providing administrative, organizational, and project management support.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD in business, management, communications or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in project management, executive assistant, communications, or similar roles.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing compelling narratives and content.
- Excellent execution and project management skills, with experience in leading strategic and high-visibility initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Jira and project management tools.
- Experience in event planning and strategizing, with a focus on enhancing brand presence and communication.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 154,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
