Job Description

The Senior Manager, Analytics & Strategic Insights, will be a key member of the Global Sales Acceleration team responsible for innovative data analysis and insights for sales initiatives.  Analytics & Insights is a strategic function, critical for enabling success in the growth of Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) business.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales Acceleration, this strategic and data-driven delivery leader will provide leadership and strategic direction through the application of end-to-end analysis and insights across VAS. We are looking for a dynamic leader who can pioneer and embed leading-edge analytical techniques and generate local market knowledge which lead to superior fact-based decision making. This role will own the creation and execution of analytic methodologies, reports and dashboards focused on the sales acceleration lifecycle, with an emphasis on quantifying impact through market sizing and target client list development. The individual will also lead sales acceleration program reporting, insight gathering and trend identification to support program expansion, and development of scalable tools to support global and regional stakeholders. The leader will track and measure the success of sales initiatives across different regions.

The individual will work in close collaboration with Sales Acceleration team members and senior partners across various functions including Sales, Go-To-Market, Commercialization, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Business Intelligence and Product to drive sales performance in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, strategic, analytical, results driven self-starter who will deliver high impact initiatives to our sales teams to drive business results.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Gather, analyze and understand sales and market data to enable sales strategy development and execution, including market sizing and target client list development
  • Lead the development, delivery, and ongoing management of sales acceleration program data analytics and reporting across global and regional sales teams with an emphasis on delivering meaningful insights to senior executives (i.e., VPs and SVPs)
  • Develop strategic program recommendations based on insights to improve sales program performance, drive understanding of results and opportunities to expand programs in other regions
  • Own global and regional Sales initiative reporting and insights activities, including identification of trends to support opportunities to scale
  • Partner with peers and executive stakeholders within the Sales Acceleration team, as well as in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, GTM, Marketing, Product, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enablement, Value Engineering) and across global and regional teams to execute sales initiatives

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in sales analytics, with proven ability to develop and deliver analyses in support of enterprise-wide sales programs
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and ability to work with large data sets to synthesize key impacts for executive stakeholders 
  • Executive presence including excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization
  • Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on impacting business results
  • Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities
  • Prior experience in banking / payments, sales, and client facing roles are a plus
  • Curiosity & willingness to learn and develop as a professional – high levels of integrity and business ethics.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Experience supporting sales data visualization and reporting strongly preferred
• Analytics and reporting experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Tableau strongly preferred
• Experience working in banking and payments industry a plus
• Experience in sales and client facing roles a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 196,200.00 to 255,000.00 USD per year, *which includes potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
