Job Description

The Senior Director, Implementation and Change (Strategic Change) will be a key member in Visa’s Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO), which is responsible for driving meaningful and sustainable change across the many segments of Visa’s business. Broad topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping develop strategies and initiatives that drive step-change improvement in accountability
  • Addressing enterprise-wide organizational improvements to unlock revenue or capacity
  • Identifying areas of opportunity to improve the client experience and accelerate time-to-market

As a Senior Director, the individual will be a member of the Implementation and Change practice and responsible for defining implementation change strategies and delivering assets that drive behavior and mindset changes for Visa’s transformation initiatives. They will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, tools, and technology. This person will ensure the business is ready for change.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be well organized, and can lead in a matrixed environment. They must be experts in change management and be able to develop change strategies and programs to drive adoption. This person will work cross functionally and must be effective at influencing senior leaders and have strong executive presence.

Key responsibilities will include developing change strategies and programs to maximize employee adoption and proficiency, while minimizing resistance.

  • Lead implementation execution through others and directly manage sponsors, deliver executive stakeholder updates, and manage escalations
  • Design change strategies and sequence of activities required to build awareness, develop competency, and accelerate adoption of change with proficiency
  • Prepare mitigation plans to reduce risk and resistance to adoption
  • Manage a team to develop and deliver change tactics, ranging from communications and end user training, to executive memos, internal presentations, infographics, videos, intranet destinations, case studies, demos and learning events
  • Partner with the Strategic Measurement lead on the Implementation and Change team to define and measure the impact of change deliverables
  • Directly conduct stakeholder analysis and change impacts to inform change strategies

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Previous experience in implementing organizational wide change
  • Previous people management experience
  • Solid understanding of organizational change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Prosci or other change management certification or designation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite including Word, PPT, Teams and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • Previous experience leading a change management team, ideally with a consulting firm as part of an implementation team
  • Strong written and visualization skills, with a background in marketing, communications, or design a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from management
  • Ability to coordinate activities with colleagues from cross-functional teams

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,200.00 to 207,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
