Job Description
What a Business Analyst in Value-Added Services (VAS) Operations does at Visa:
The Business Analyst is a key member of the Value-Added Services (VAS) and Core Global Business Operations team, responsible for critical projects that support VAS Client Services business. This role will offer exciting opportunities to work with global and cross-functional teams, helping to drive decision-making and process/tools improvements through the use of data, metrics, and business analysis. This individual will have opportunities to work on high-profile projects with exposure to teams and leaders of all levels across the organization.
In this role, you are expected to:
- Develop and manage Tableau dashboards and metrics that support VAS businesses
- Leverage metrics, data analysis, and financial models to measure performance, deliver meaningful business insights, and identify improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and tools, by identifying gaps, coming up with creative ideas, and successfully implementing solutions
- Manage projects and programs, including facilitating discussions, developing/managing project plans and timelines, tracking actions and milestones, and communicating updates to stakeholders
- Develop and manage content to support VAS teams, including process mapping, documentation, and monthly/quarterly reporting
- Support senior leaders on development of materials for executive readouts and business reviews
- Be an expert in data analysis but also be able to think strategically and see the big picture

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
- Bachelor's Degree, ideally in business, engineering, economics, hard sciences, or similar field
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), with proven ability to work with and influence at all levels within an organization
- Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets and articulate findings to different audiences in a thoughtful, succinct, and compelling manner
- Extensive knowledge of dashboards and reporting tools, particularly Tableau, with the ability to create ad hoc reports, write custom queries, and design frontend visuals
- Strong project management and organization skills
- Self-starter and motivated individual with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines and deliver successful results
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and ad hoc assignments
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 83,300.00 to 106,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
