Job Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, The Visa Advisory team solves the most strategic problems for our clients.
The North America Consulting and Analytics Practice within the Visa Advisory team provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers, co-brand, merchants, and fintechs in the United States and Canada. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.
The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team supports the North America VCA team through setting standards, developing foundational processes, and driving operational performance for the consulting organization.
This Director, Strategy and Operations role will work on strategic and operational projects that have large impact across the team, with a particular focus on all things related to our Value-in-Kind (VIK) program. When Visa structures long-term partnership agreements with clients (i.e., ‘Deals’), an increasing proportion of the client incentives are structured as a promise of future value-added services, known as ‘Value-in-Kind’ (VIK). This is a key aspect of Visa’s deal strategy – it motivates clients to partner with Visa on programs that help them grow their business, and in turn, helps Visa grow and diversify revenues. This role will help manage the VIK program for North America and help accelerate its growth through end-to-end program management spanning the breadth from strategy and planning to process and operations.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Producing NA VCA and Advisory Services performance reporting, including leading pipeline and business review discussions with senior leadership
Lead cross-functional teams with business partners (e.g., Marketing, Controllership, Finance, Legal) to manage the NA VIK program, including overseeing implementation of process improvements and development of training/communications related to VIK and delivery
Sharing VIK best practices and providing regional input into activities and initiatives with the Global VIK Champion team
Understand how our internal systems, platforms and tools are being uses to be able to asses and provide feedback, and maintain up to date documentation
Support VCA in onboarding new employees to internal platforms and ensure understanding of end to end processes
Supporting broader S&O team with ad hoc strategic projects that impact the VCA organization
The ideal candidate will be an analytical, self-motivated, highly collaborative team player who is flexible and proactive at identifying and resolving issues.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and attention to detail
- Creative thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and appropriate urgency
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders and drive towards desired outcomes
- Aptitude to grasp new and complex concepts quickly
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (highly proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and pivot quickly when priorities change
- Works well with people of varying backgrounds, levels-of-expertise, personalities, etc., and builds partnerships

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176,900.00 to 230,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
