Job Description

As digital commerce evolves into seamless, practically invisible shopping experiences, consumer confusion and disputes are increasing. Visa Post-Purchase Products help merchants and issuers work together to remove unnecessary disputes from the payments ecosystem and to efficiently process legitimate disputes. As Director, NA Post-Purchase Products Specialized Sales, you will help Visa clients including financial institutions, processors, acquirers, merchants, and more, understand how Visa’s solutions can help optimize their dispute management operations and costs. You will collaborate with Visa Account Executives, Sales Leaders, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Product SMEs, Risk and Client Success to serve clients as One Visa. You will develop and execute deals with strategic enablers and clients to help improve their dispute management business while accelerating Visa’s revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is a disputes and payments industry expert, with a proven record of successfully selling to financial institutions and merchants. Additionally, the ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent people skills, takes ownership of their sales pipeline, and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally to craft comprehensive solutions that solve clients pain points while operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This role reports to the Senior Director, NA Post-Purchase Products on the NA Product & Solutions team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop deep Visa post-purchase product and NA market subject matter expertise over time to better inform sales strategy and growth initiative execution.

  • Develop a targeted issuer, processor, acquirer, and merchant pipeline to deliver against post-purchase product’s multi-year growth strategy and revenue targets.

  • Deliver internal product education to Account Executives and Client Services in partnership with Product, Client Delivery, Visa University, and Risk teams.

  • Deliver client product education via webinars and speaking engagements at client meetings and industry forums.

  • Listen to client feedback to identify new use cases for post-purchase products.

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Comms to inform product positioning in sales enablement materials.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Deep disputes subject matter expertise and payment industry knowledge required.
  • 10+ years of sales and account management experience, payment / money movement industry related.
  • Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and proven record for driving account growth acceleration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering for clients.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills (both verbal and written), and executive presence, must be able to interface with our most senior client executives.
  • Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to a broad audience in an approachable way to influence and drive adoption.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
