Team Summary
The Corporate Communications team in Hong Kong and Macau is a strategic and high performing function that reports into Visa’s Greater China, Asia Pacific and Global Corporate Communications function, as well as local market leadership. It is our role to advance and protect Visa’s reputation and drive business growth.
What a Corporate Communications Manager does at Visa
Corporate Communications Manager in Hong Kong and Macau, is an exciting role that will enable you to develop and execute the communications strategy, ensure alignment to business goals across the geography.
The individual will help Visa achieve our business objectives through strategic communications programs and support business development. The individual supports and works with Head of Corporate Communications, Hong Kong and Macau, in partnering with senior business leaders and teams to advance the business agenda, manage and deliver strategic communication campaigns internally and externally, to support business objectives and drive growth across the region.
This role:
Corporate Reputation & Media Relations
- Develop and facilitate communication programs across owned, earned, paid and social channels in close partnership with Greater China and regional corporate communication teams and marketing team
- Support development of media strategy and materials, manage the execution of media engagements to enhance Visa’s reputation
- Enable effective B2B communication in transforming Visa into a best-in-class B2B sales organization, which includes but is not limited to thought leadership building, narrative development, industry advocacy and customer education.
- Develop social-led campaign to support corporate brand building for the mass consumer segments
- Maintain a regular cadence of content and brand visibility for Visa’s market leadership in multiple channels and social media including LinkedIn
- Support issue preparedness and crisis management, develop responses for target stakeholders
- Provide guidance and expertise to cross-functional teams on emerging trends and issues facing the company broadly
- Report media trends and sentiments, measure outcomes and impact
Integrated Communications & Employee Engagement
- Collaborate with internal functions such as Marketing team and Government Engagement team to elevate brand reputation and engagement through integrated strategic plan
- Support the development and execution of effective employee engagement plan, building a culture to create the next wave of momentum and be the great place to work
Social Impact & Administration
- Collaborate with a network of local community, business partners and volunteering leaders to develop and lead social impact programs that link to Visa’s sustainability and business strategies
- Work closely with regional and global social impact team to develop, adapt and leverage resources in diverse internal and external platforms
- Assist with budget tracking, opening scope of work requests, managing and reconciling purchase orders and complete timely receiving in accordance with Visa policies

Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of solid experience in public relations within technology or financial services, or a relevant field, ideally with in-house and/or agency background
- Experience in managing and executing a diverse spectrum of communication programs, including media relations, B2B communication / campaign, issue management, content development, thought leadership building, community engagement, influencer relations, social impact, and integrated branding campaigns
- Skilled in strategic communication planning, grounded on insights, direction setting and measurable results
- Knowledge and experience in delivering strategic communication projects end-to-end
- Excellent story-telling abilities, including interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English. Proven ability to effectively draft, edit and proofread communication materials
- Good attention to details
- Be creative, curious, proactive, and possesses high energy, who is able to self-start and drive to completion. He/ she has to be passionate about the technology, B2B, banking and/or retail industries
