Job Description
The NA FPA team is responsible for providing up-to-date financial data, including results, forecasts, budgeting, competitive analysis, predictive modeling, and performance against key operating metrics. This data offers strategic insight into the short-, medium-, and long-term prospects of the North American business.
The Drivers team is the important part of the North American Revenue FPA teams, offers analytical insights to Visa's senior leaders, guiding decisions regarding Visa's business. This impactful role oversees the reporting and analysis of drivers affecting the business, including financial data and economic statistics.
Essential Functions
- Manage a team of 4 staff members.
- Lead the annual and quarterly business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for Volume Drivers. Coordinate inputs from various functions and lead the review and assessment process.
- Provide insights into significant variances and business trends. Stay informed of the US market's status by monitoring year-to-date and monthly performance by products, segments, and clients to comprehend variances and analyze business drivers.
- Examine and monitor risks and opportunities to evaluate macroeconomic drivers and their corresponding impact at the industry and micro-segment levels. Identify risks and opportunities (and mitigating actions) to ensure targets are met.
- Support macro-economic analysis and contribute to the consolidation of Visa market insights.
- Analyze the trends emerging within our cross-border business by merchant category, product type, etc. and evaluate the factors driving their evolution. Distinguish one-off and sustainable effects to support cross-border forecasting
- Assist in preparing quarterly drivers reports and presentations to support quarterly earnings releases and Board meetings.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and promote a professional finance organization.
- Spearhead ad hoc projects to further improve the overall performance of the team and organization.
- Provide thought leadership and guidance over core processes building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables for optimal result.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- At least 12 years of professional experience with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business.
- Experience leading a Financial Planning & Analysis team with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and management reporting.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176,900.00 to 230,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
