Job Description

Visa’s Acceptance Risk Solutions product management team is seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and creative product and program management leader. This role will be responsible for driving efficient processes to enable successful execution across the Acceptance Risk team and for collaborating across the organization on commercialization and go-to-market activities to raise the product’s portfolio profile both internally and externally, driving positive market positioning, and identifying and executing on strategic opportunities across channels and regions.

The candidate will reimagine and drive positive innovative perception of the Acceptance Risk product portfolio. By working closely with Sales, Marketing, and other Product Managers across all Visa constituents, this role will optimize the messaging and distribution of Acceptance Risk products via all channels and regions to drive optimal financial results for both the Acceptance Risk product line and clients.

This position will help establish and execute on key strategic initiatives and will ensure that the product vision, strategy, and roadmaps are closely aligned and well-articulated to customers, prospects, and partners, as well as internally within Visa. The candidate will also be process driven, with the ability to bring structure to ideation teams, and be able to effectively communicate and drive positive change at all levels of the organization. Experience working with cross functional teams including technical and product development teams in an Agile environment will be critical in achieving the team’s goals.

Strong people skills and the ability to build great relationships, generate consensus, and promote excitement and enthusiasm while bridging fraud initiatives and client priorities are critical qualities for success. This person will focus on working not only internally to deliver breakthrough results, but also externally evangelizing those results to the global marketplace. This person must intrinsically be a champion for Visa’s risk products and promote usage within the company and to global clients. This position may require occasional travel to client sites and Visa locations around the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strategies and execution plans that optimize messaging and distribution of Acceptance Risk solutions across channels and regions to drive optimal financial results.
  • Lead product portfolio messaging and strategy efforts serving enterprise merchants, acquirers, and technology partners.
  • Drive end-to-end product portfolio management including synthesizing market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation, communication, and customer enablement.
  • Partner with other product managers, technical leadership, and product development teams to identify and optimize processes and to deliver on strategic initiatives.
  • Prioritize, plan, and oversee new product introduction initiatives that support the business strategy and enable growth.
  • Manage product investment budgets and forecasts. Lead continuous product planning and portfolio management in support of global business strategy and operations.
  • Collaborate with global and regional leadership, as well as sales and business development functions to define go-to-market strategies and develop integrated global roadmaps.
  • Represent the business and product management in client engagements and industry events. Evangelize the value and differentiation of the Acceptance Risk Solutions portfolio within the payment ecosystem.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA
/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with
9+ years of experience
• 10+ years’ experience in Product Strategy or Management with increasing
levels of demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Direct, hands-on experience with development, deployment and configuration
of solutions to meet particular market, industry and/or client objectives.
• Experience evangelizing, marketing and commercializing products and
solutions at scale.
• Able to build relationships, gain exposure, and influence positive change with
internal and external leadership teams through demonstrating key domain
expertise.
• Specific experience evaluating perception and effectiveness of marketing
messaging and devising strategies to positively drive optimal financial results.
• Understanding payments, fraud and authentication landscape and ability to
translate product strategy into executable plans.
• Exceedingly strong passion for payment fraud space, data management and
analysis.
• Extensive Project Management experience or be certified in Project
Management.
• In-depth knowledge of Visa and CyberSource risk products with the ability to
identify potential synergies gained through partnership offerings, or market
gaps.
• Strong track record in working with risk products that have had tangible and
quantifiable benefits to customers, i.e. reducing fraud cases, liability shift, etc.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 173,400.00 to 238,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
