Job Description

Visa’s Global Brand Strategy and Development team develops and oversees global brand strategies to advance Visa as the relevant, preferred, and trusted brand that is a force for good and growth. 

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join the team to support the evolution, amplification and leadership of one of Visa’s most important assets: the brand, ranked the 6th most valuable brand in the world, according to BrandZ. 

You will support cross-functional projects through our unique rotational program, which will enable you to gain invaluable experiences across multiple disciplines, including Brand Strategy, Brand Creative & Design, Brand Partnerships & Advocacy and Brand Management. The program would also afford you the opportunity to network with a variety of leaders within the Visa organization.

Below are examples of the diverse set of projects that interns have led in the past:

  • Supported creative and campaign development, notably for global tentpole moments, including the Olympics and FIFA.
  • Informed development of a strategic outlook to inform Visa’s approach among high-growth priority audiences (e.g., Gen Z) through compilation of multiple regional research studies. 
  • Supported global activations of She’s Next, Visa’s global platform to empower women small business owners through grants and coaching. 
  • Aided development of strategic framework to define future approach to developing and activating brand partnerships to innovate the brand with emerging partners and environments.
  • Helped support the Strategy & Planning operations across Global Brand Strategy and Development, including goal setting and annual planning. 
  • Partnered with regional marketing teams to advance key initiatives, serving as a global hub to facilitate communications across teams, share best practices, and advance key global initiatives.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field graduating after December 2024.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with others and work cross functionally through high organization and project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Innovative, curious problem solver and an out-of-the-box thinker – always looking to do things better and bring new ideas to the table to position the brand for relevance.
  • Shows a range of diverse experiences in undergrad, with particular emphasis on content creation, partnerships, and innovation.
  • Highly driven and resourceful with an ability to influence, as demonstrated through volunteer, athletics, music, arts, or other areas of collegiate life.
  • Previous experience working within a team, balancing needs of varied stakeholders.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects while quick to adapt to shifting priorities and innovate quickly when new information surfaces.
  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder management – able to modulate style and tone to the audience.
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and presentation across a range of formats including executive presentations, analytical documents, and email updates.

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary is 25-30USD/hr which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department 

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time. 

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
