Job Description
The Director, People Ops & Total Rewards Systems drives our People Systems strategy, and collaborates with the People Function and Systems partners to continually improve digital tools for our people. This hands-on role reports to the Snr Dir, People Systems to advance a systems strategy that supports business needs that include system implementations, business process design/redesign, vendor selection, change management, and current-state assessments of both a technical and functional nature.
The Director, People Ops & Total Rewards Systems has a deep understanding of HR processes and practices, security, data integrity, system configuration & design, system enhancements & upgrades, and expertise within several areas of People Systems including: Core HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Employee/Manager Self-Service, Onboarding/Offboarding.
You will drive, influence, and collaborate with the People Team and Systems team as well as stakeholders across the organization to identify solutions (tools and processes) that meet business needs.
Leads all systems aspects of Total Rewards, People Operations and Workforce planning transformation program including process re-imagination, systems enablement, implementation and system integrations
Partners with Total Rewards and People Operations Leadership and Transformation team to deeply understand and translate business needs into systems needs, architectural requirements and implementation/execution plans
Leads the People organization in digital innovation by identifying and integrating innovative trends and approaches based on insights gained through industry leaders, vendor partners and internal stakeholders.
Provide domain thought leadership in People Systems landscape, by challenging current thinking and providing practical and innovative systems solutions to solve frictions in end-to-end People processes
Facilitates collaboration across the organization to create and cultivate a culture of innovation and boost internal creativity through new systems and thought processes.
Supports the People function with creative solutions and new applications that promote efficiency, effectiveness and new thinking in People business partnership and support.
Drives the adoption of “best practices” to ensure standardization of People processes across the company.
Establishes principles and drives quality and consistency across systems architecture and methodology that deliver effective People solutions.
Aligns with corporate strategies through strong business and technical thought leadership.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Deep expertise with Workday is essential, alongside knowledge of leading-edge industry best practices for digitalizing end-to-end People data and processes
- 8+ years’ experience in People technology implementation and operational process improvement.
- Knowledge of HR principles, legislation and key components of end-to-end HR processes.
- Ability to translate HR business requirements into actionable system configuration or process enhancements
- Demonstrated track record of project leadership within complex organizations requiring strong influence management skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work well through ambiguity and complexity, confidence with senior stakeholders and a sharp focus on the right outcomes
- Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate systems strategy, requirements and architecture conversations with all stakeholders (management, business users, and systems resources).
- Flexibility to move easily between operational troubleshooting and strategic planning.
- Ability to manage multiple consulting and vendor relationships, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 146,700 to 190,800 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
