Job Description

Visa is looking for an accomplished leader for Data Commercialization in the Global Data Office. The leader will be responsible for shaping the data commercialization strategy and executing on deliverables that matter most for regional teams. Specifically, the role will plan, lead, and execute Visa’s commercial efforts for services, products, and solutions that deliver value to clients through data innovations. The highly collaborative leader will drive execution success by partnering with operations, regional and client-facing teams across the enterprise and managing a small team of analysts.

 

This role reports to the VP of Market Development and Data Commercialization in the Global Data Office and has high visibility to the senior executives.

 

Essential Functions

 

Identify and communicate end-user needs, pain points, and personas to build actionable roadmaps to deliver Visa data commercialization objectives, instill customer obsession throughout the GDO operations.

Provide leadership in facilitating the ongoing strengthening of new data product positioning and strategy and develop a roadmap for the delivery and commercialization of data assets to enable regions.

Drive commercial activation and operations of data innovations and data partnerships working collaboratively with Global Sales Operations teams, regional teams, and other relevant teams.

Identify and understand support gaps that exist in commercialization and product adoption by working closely with regional teams and create roadmap to accelerate adoption and time to market.

Build and manage pipeline of commercial data opportunities and data-related client engagements working collaboratively with the GDO team, regional teams, and client-facing teams. work collaboratively to identify the right leaders to engage, and the right content to share.

Operationalize Visa’s data narrative through Visa’s relevant client facing teams and processes.

Synthesize across external and internal insights to uncover or incubate new opportunities for data commercialization. Develop compelling data value propositions and execute business case development.

Find efficiencies and opportunities to accelerate and maximize the commercial impact of our existing Data Solutions VAP, VDI, VMSS, VMSI, VMS, etc.

Develop regular reporting and cadence on data commercialization pipeline, progress against goals, and wins and losses and ensure accuracy in various internal reporting systems.

Develop the enabling foundation for data commercialization by understanding Visa’s various sales processes as well as establishing and managing collaborative, positive relationships with peers, internal clients and key enabling organizations including regional teams, GDO teams, technology, marketing, sales operation, and others and ensure alignment of business needs and objectives.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
Prior experience in product management, strategy, and solution commercialization
Prior experience in Network or Issuer organizations
15 years of work experience with a deep understanding of installments ecosystem and experience building payment, network products.
Deep understanding of installments ecosystem and experience building payment network
Technical depth to breakdown technical complexity and drive problems to conclusion with Product Management team as well as clients
Tenacity and ability to build from scratch and comfortable with ambiguity.
MBA, background in consulting and tech investments

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 192,300.00 to 250,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
